I hope you're not dogging my boy Erod - jcragcrumple
Oops I forgot him when I listed that group... dang it...
Gosh I just hate Larsson though...
Sobotka - Girgensons - Erod?
Idk... I know Erod is best at LW. but neither Zemgus or ERod really play RW... |

He's a right shot, so I think he can definitely play the right side. It's harder imo to play the off-site wing, which he does too. |

Conner Hurley's rights are still owned by the Sabres for another two years. However, I think it would be safe to say that they are no longer interested in him in any capacity.
Eric Cornel plays a decent role in the AHL. I'm sure once his ELC runs out, he'll either re-sign an AHL deal or head off into the wild. Same with Brycen Martin. |

Yeah, I remember that. It's odd to me that mock rosters are about 50% on having him |

any roster that has Larsson or Girgs above him should be ignored |

Cap Friendly shows 8/15/19 and that's probably right. Gets a little weird since it looks like he won't graduate and transferring would have forced him to sit a year. This would be his 4th year of NCAA eligibility, so he'd be UFA on 8/15.

No it's not. I hope Asplund beats him fair and square though. I'd also rather have Wilson than Girgs if it comes to that.
Every time mentions Girgs' toughness as being necessary, I want to scream. He has 1 NHL fight in 5 years. He's fine, but totally expendable.

Rob Ray and the Instigators were talking Larsson vs. Girgs for the last roster spot.
On why he picked Girgs: "He just works hard. Did he do much the other night? Eh, debatable. But he works hard"
Rivet had Larsson, Wilson and Girgensons as his 4th line.

It could be worse.......
That could be our 3rd line, oh wait............. |

Isn't 3C/4C his projected role? I would agree if we're talking about playing a Nylander on the 4th line with Nolan and Josefson, but this would be more like on-the-job training. If he's the best candidate, he should play imo |

I see him as a 3C. He's impressed be enough that 2C doesn't seem out of the question down the road. 4C is token minutes on this team. 3C is a vital role, taking a lot of d zone starts.

True. The Leafs and Blackhawks have done it to save their cap. Why not us?
Go for it Botts. Buffalo is behind the scheme. - RhinoFan
There's no reason to, we're not against the cap. |

Cornel might be in Rochester but he'll play on the 4th line imo. Too many D in Rochester (MacWilliam, Paetsch, Redmond, Pilut, Hickey, Borgen, Fedun, Atwal, Tennyson) so my guess is he's heading to Cincy.
Rochester is going to have a heck of a team. |
