He had a 5% drop rate last year, that's not great, but it's not Braylon Edwards, He was 3rd in YAC last year, so his low YPC is likely down to the routes he's asked to run. A WR doesn't have to blow the top off a defense to dominate.

I don't think he's a "#1" either, but that's because that's not his game. He's a better Wes Welker, and he along with Brady absolutely dominated for years.

A guy who's had 7 straight 4,000 yard seasons including one of over 5,000

Bottomline no matter how "ready" a guy is or not, as a rookie, they're going to have some awful games, it's just how it is. It doesn't make them less ready.
