What an idiot. Troll it up, Sid.
Your fellow media cronies and a handful of loonie fans are the ones writing all the sensationalized BS; you can't paint everyone with the same brush. - gravyface

What the hell do we care what that moron says? (frank) me he sounded like a clueless (frank) in this. The irony of him, just missing a big red wig and oversized shoes, a joke is priceless. There is a reason no one watches that poop show. - burn

Tracking hits is a joke to be honest. The number is not really significant in the sense of wins and losses for a team.
Individually, it can tell you that a guy likes to hit or not, which usually you can figure out by watching a couple of shifts. - gravyface
Not entirely true. Hits or well timed hits could change the outcome of the game. Open up plays, wear down the opening etc. |

Seemed to be the time (50s and 60s) when music, fashion, homestyle, cars etc. were really starting to be creative. Everything was really starting to blossom. The World was everyone's oyster. Expressionism was encouraged. The Leaf were good.
Plus, it was the start of the Nixon era.
Nowadays, minus the Leafs being good. Everything seems very same old. |

It's an absolute joke.
These "real time" stats are compiled by a kid being paid $50 to sit in a corner of the press box and try to keep track (no, I'm not joking). There is absolutely no standard whatsoever throughout the league.
A few years ago, you could go on the NHL.com stats engine and break down hits by team - home and away. The discrepancies were laughable - I remember posting here one time that one team had twice as many hits in away games than at home.
I'm assuming Bettman comes in here regularly to read my posts, because they realized how embarrassing the stats were, and took them down. You can no longer break down hits by home and away.
Now keep in mind, the teams themselves may be tracking in a much more accurate way (from what I've been led to believe) - but if you see the Tannerses of the world referring to hits or any other of this nonsense, take it with a grain of salt...and then punch them in the throat.
Morning, fellas. |

Gentlemen:
I don't mean to brag, but I just scored 100% on my final exam, and am now a Level I certified hockey trainer.
First Aid kit arrives in the mail today, if Amazon Prime gets their poop together.
Obviously now that I'm this important a person, I'm not going to want to spend much time with you jerks.
P.S. The course didn't really cover sexually transmitted diseases, so I probably can't answer a lot of the questions you have for me. |

I should have taken screen shots of the final exam. 35 true or false questions:
If a player has a spinal injury, do you shake them vigorously to have the coins fall out of their pockets so you can make an emergency phone call?
True
False |

I don't think that there was ever a doubt that Ennis has skill, but injuries, as far as I know, played a big part in his downfall from a good young prospect/player to 4th liner.
I read an article about how the Leafs' medical staff worked with him to get him in top shape for camp this year... I wonder if this kind of attention lacked in other organizations that ultimately led to him being traded/bought out. - TheMussel
It sounded like that was the case, the lack of attention or maybe knowledge the medical staff had. |

My guess is the roster they used in Lucan. Which was:
Hyman-Tavares-Marner
Leivo-Kadri-Brown
Grundstrom-Cracknell-Moore
Timashov-Mueller-Clark
Rielly-Hainsey
Dermott-Ozhiganov
Borgman-Holl
McElhinney
Sparks
But with Dermott being injured, and possibly missing tonight's game I'm not sure who will fill his spot. |
