So poking more holes in your swiss cheese argument is crying?
I honestly don't care if he was suspended or not, but it looks bad when a guy with a concussion history gets sucker punched and there is no real punishment and the league is dealing with a lawsuit for not properly dealing with head injuries. - mr.peanut
you've poked holes in nothing. then you say you don't care. Which is it? Wait, did you just poke holes in your own opinion? |

No i poked holes in your point of sucker punching and vigilante justice because it is a slippery slope. Now Domi has a target for doing aomething stupid. Will you defend any Panther that does something stupid towards Domi?
That can happen regardless if the league acts or not, the second part was an overall look at the league's stance on the issue. |

Ekblad just said that scores will be settled so he's all but assured next game against the Habs will be closely watched. I have no doubt their goon will run some guys and then Habs will do the same until the refs take control.
If the concerns about Ekblad's health are so important then maybe he should retire before he gets hurt too badly? Hockey is a contact sport that currently allows fighting so..... *poke, poke* |

You know the outside scope of concussions is seen differnetly then us who watch.
And really the contact sport stuff is BS since he wasn't fighting Domi and most if not all concussion causing hits have been pushed out of the game. If everyone had to retire since they once had a concussion because they are taking a risk because some 9 goal spaz might sucker punch them in a preseason game then careers would be a lot shorter |

A concussion can happen from any collision not just direct shots to the head so the contact sport aspect is most certainly not BS. Some football players leave before it happens to them as well.
You can have your stance and that’s fine but I have mine as well. Your argument and ensuing rebuttals just got contradictory and now your standing on the soap box for player safety as a reason to validate yourself. Anyone in hockey knows if your playing chippy and someone grabs you (and Ekblad grabbed him back) you might be in for a fight.
Ekblad chose to engage a bit, chirp, then look for the refs. I already wrote it was a dumb move by Domi but Ekblad wasn’t some innocent bystander in this and it def wasn’t a sucker punch when both guys are face to face each holding each other’s collar.
Good day sir... |

Weird how I nevsr contradicted myself, but that seems to be your strawman. Btw comparing football to hockey is inacurate as contact cor every player is almost inherent in evsry play. Of course a concussion can happen on any play, but the ones that are directly cause hit heads witn greater risk of head trauma are being reduced.
Anyone who knows hockey? Bud I know hockey and have played enough to know that you are never obliged to fight for chippy stuff ( god knows how many fights i would have been in if that wers the case)
And yes it was a sucker punch because hockey convention ( as anyone in hockey knows, as you would say) bscause the other player, like Ekblad in this case, did not drop his gloves. |
