I stand somewhat in between in that I agree that sucker punches have no part in the game, but I don’t really think it was a “Sucker Punch” by Domi.

I always thought a 'sucker punch' was defined as the person didn't have any reason to believe he was gonna get punched, or he wasn't expecting to get punched.

Surely Ekblad knew he was gonna get punched, or was close to being punched.

I don't condone what that idiot did, by any means, but I wouldn't call that a sucker punch.

Also, when Domi does something on the ice, and his old man is at the game, are we gonna see his old man's ugly f'in mug on tv every time?

a punishment would have been for Domi to play the rest of the pre-season, instead, he gets an extended vacation without loss of pay. Same league, different year, and another missed opportunity to show that idiotic poop like that don't belong in hockey, let alone the NHL

What's funny is that when Emelin was here all we heard is "if he can't fight he needs to stop throwing big hits"

So following that logic, with Ekblad's concussion history, maybe he should lay down the stick-work and stop hiding behind refs if he doesn't want to answer for it.
