Two of the worst defenses in the league. Even together, that'd be pretty bad with weber injured.
Putting Chabot with Weber though would be pretty sweet long term. - david22
Thw only time you'll see "Weber" and "long term" in the same sentence is if you're talking about an injury report!

Complete nonsense.
You could easily talk about his 10000 year long contract as "long term"!
AH! ONCE AGAIN YOU LOOK LIKE A COMPLETE FOOL MY FRIEND! |

How bad are Josh Ho-Sang and Michael Dal Colle if neither of them can make the Islanders roster?
Are Komarov and Martin that much better? |

Highly doubtful Suzuki makes the team despite looking good at camp. Kotkaniemi is more likely and it hasn't been confirmed either.
In this lineup, I'd say:
Alzner (unfortunately)
Lehkonen
Chaput (Maybe, until Deslauriers/Shaw comes back from injury at least)
Hudon
Scherbak (13th forward.... only not to lose him to waiver)
Kotkaniemi (Impressive progression since the beginning of camp).
De la Rose
Armia
Peca (looking very good and penciled as the 3rd line centre imo)
Ouellet (Much better than the likes of Benn , Azlner and Schlemko)
Niemi as Price's backup.
That's about how it looks. Rest are going to the AHL or in the minors most likely. - Scabeh
I'm surprised the Leafs didnt take a stab at grabbing Peca...played for Keefe and won a National Championship at 15 or 16 I think.

I'm guessing Peca felt he had a real opportunity with the Habs since we have so little matured centre depth.
In Toronto, only the 4th line centre spot remains.
He's looking very good so far in camp. |

Aren't the Leafs violating the "veterans" rule?
Wait hang on. Nevermind. Marincin/Cracknell are 100+ NHL games. - markmark
Greening is also way over 100 games played. |

To be fair, combining both teams pretty much means the Habs + Duchene, Stone and Chabot.... - Scabeh
That's pretty damn close.

FFS Pat I'm talking about an hypothetical fusion of Ottawa's and Montreal's defense and the one thing that bugs you is that Weber is injured?

Tavares got asked why the Habs were not on the list of teams he considered.
Good lord, what the hell is he supposed to say to that. He didn't want to play for them. Does there need to be more explanation. |

They stink that's why. He wants to win. He might as well stay in Long Island if he was going to go to a worse team. |

With these lineups the anticipation of this game tonight can only be riviled by the anticipation of the opening night of LeBron James in the remake of space jam.
Note: my phone keeps autocorrecting LeBron to Lebrun which would be something I'd actually like to see. |
