Doesn’t surprise me Boucher sent down. I actually like him but another tweener on a team full of them is a problem. Too bad trading is so difficult nowadays. Our depth is getting better & should help out Utica but still we lack enough NHL talent. It still comes back to our D where i find we are held back the most. Playing uptempo i like but easier said than done. Winning more puck battles is the challenge. Other side of the coin is boring team D systems which nobody likes & doesn’t solve problems in the big picture. Speed & skill & hard work every shift is my want.

Let's put this rebuild into second gear.

If an AHLer is pegged as a probable injury call up then its ok to play him. If it’s to fill an ex game roster only then no. Play the vets & prospects & bubble players. Its a long season & to be used as a rebuild year & see who sinks or swim. When JB knows what he has in an eg Archie & others then accept it don’t see if he will get better when his curve is over. Rather see Utica get on with their training camp & ex games with the players who have no shot at thus years NHL roster. Yes i know we lack lots of talent but no such thing as over playing them in preseason with what we expect will happen this year. Saving them for the beginning of the season after the 1st 3 ex games is not what i would do.
