My opening night roster:
Skinner - Eichel - Reinhart
Nylander**/Sheary - Mitts - Okposo
E-Rod**/Sheary - Berglund - Thompson
Wilson - Sobotka - Pommer
Girgensons
I think its between Nylander and E-rod to show they can crack the top 9 out of the gate. they would also be first call ups w/ likes of smith and asplund. Olofsson stays in roch all year. Larsson/Baptiste/Bailey to waivers. Baptiste either gets traded or snagged off waivers. Some team will take a flyer on Larsson and Bailey makes it through to Roch.
Scandella - Ristolainen
Dahlin - McCabe
Beaulieu - Bogosian
Hunwick
I think Pilut and Guhle are right there but dont make the opening night roster. Would be first call ups w/ Nelson. Hunwick will be depth when he comes off IR.
Hutton 1A
Ullmark 1B
1A - 1B could change very quickly. still think it will be tandem all year 60-40 |

Probably pretty close
Has there been an update on Sheary? |

You are massively simplifying my opinions
If u wanna view his progress through highlights...
that’s your prerogative
But leaping over a defensive player,
or diving for the pylon,
DO NOT
in any way
show development in becoming a smart QB
1) I did say he looked better
2) Also said he got help from great playcalling,
3) and Minny’s defense sh!tting the bed
4) And he’s still got a ways to go
If anyone wants to try & disagree with those statements, that’s fine
But they’re ALL 100% accurate - jdfitz77
You work so hard to put a negative spin on a good game. It must be exhausting.

These 4 statements are more or less accurate.
But they display an unwillingness to give him credit for many of the things he did right, and and inability to admit that you said he shouldn’t even been playing.
Tony Romo gave a long explanation in the second as to exactly why it’s IMPORTANT for Josh Allen to be playing NOW.
Are you gonna say you know more than TONY Romo? Or will you just admit you were wrong. |

Has there been an update on Sheary? - jdfitz77
General manager Jason Botterill told reporters that Sheary (upper body) could be ready in time for Opening Night against Boston on Oct. 4, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.
Sheary's absence for the remainder of the preseason could result in him losing out on a second-line spot alongside Casey Mittelstadt and instead find himself in a bottom-six role. If the former Penguin isn't playing with Jack Eichel or Mittelstadt, he could struggle to produce -- something that was an issue in Pittsburgh whenever he was taken off Sidney Crosby's line. |

Reread #1 please
And there’s also plenty of experts who said the opposite
In fact,
It’s pretty much universally agreed that Allen needed significant development BEFORE he would be ready to play
The only reason he’s in there is bc Peterman sucked
Not bc he had a great preseason & looked ready |

U can tell he really loves the game
It’s interesting to me how he breaks down the plays & even calls them out a lot before they happen
Very smart guy imo
Too bad injuries killed his career |

“He looked better” is the positive you’re willing to give him? Holy crap, don’t get carried away.
And all those experts who said he was raw haven’t been yelling quite so loud in the last two weeks.
Josh showed accuracy on the run. He showed poise in the pocket. He moved through his progressions. He got sacked a few times, but I think he’s going to be that kind of guy. This week, he didn’t throw picks trying to avoid the sack. But like Favre and young Elway, and (yeah I’ll say it) Jim Kelly, he tries to make plays that aren’t always there.
He is way beyond “He did better.” He was universally praised by the entire league, and this is in comparison the the Unanimous “blah” that everybody gave your “ready” wonderboy Rosen. |

Drew Brees played “lights out”
So did Matt Ryan
Take off the “homer” glasses - jdfitz77
And Romo said Allen played a great game for a rookie, I think I'll take his opinion and my eye sight over some guy on a hockey message board...
Homer Glasses have nothing to do with it, why can't you just say he played a hell of a game and let it be, instead of he missed this, he missed that!
guess what EVERY QB in the NFL misses... |

Like i said...
hurdling over a player makes for a great highlight
Who isn’t going to praise that?!
His athletic abilities are well showcased
I disagree with you about his development in becoming a quarterback
I think he looked better in that department,
not “great”
Sorry u guys are so upset about me not agreeing with you
What you all should be talking about is how McDermott has this team playing defense
Bc that’s what won us the game yesterday...
not Allen |

I listened to all you guys rip me about Tyrod too
Weird that he’s not our QB anymore when
SO MANY were absolutely convinced at the start of last year that he was good
Lol
But that’s all fine
You have your opinion
I have mine
