I can’t stand mascots. It was wonderful to have a team without one. Why, why did they have to do this!?

Is this some sort of joke? Gritty? It’s so bad it’s almost good in a Battlefield Earth kind of way.

If this was done with a straight face then yes the Flyers organization really is out of touch.

In a ceremony Monday, the team announced the "newest member" of their team in front of 600 kids at the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia. By all accounts, the kids absolutely loved Gritty, and remember, they're the target market.

Gritty looks like an eagles fan as the 4th quarter is about to start.

Lets be honest. Any game in Philly isn't really kid friendly. This is an attempt to change that image while preserving the history of Philly.
