I'm sitting here with my fingers crossed. They have arrived at the point where there are better options in the system and the cap is not an issue. Can either sit or wave them both and not have cap problems.
Hexy has done a great job. These two are the last of the dead wood. Cap is in good shape and the team us full of home grown players. Even JVR is home grown. Guys drafted or started

Not a bad home grown group to go to battle with.

Oh yeah, since we aren't talking hockey today, I think Gritty is great. Will be fun for the kids. Had my son at a Phillies game when he was 3. Sat behind the 3rd base dugout . Fanatic came out 7th inning. Some kids were tugging his tail and (frank)ing with him and didn't go well. My kid tried to go too but Dad stopped him. Fanatic turned and saw him, ran over, scooped him up, twirled around and blew his tongue out at him. All he could talk about for weeks. It will be good for kids and that's where the next wave of fans comes from.
