I think this is hands down the worst pre-season game.

I know it isn't a complete lineup but even our 1st line has been completely ineffective.

That's because our first line is comprised of one guy who's actually a first line player and the other two are second or third line players on better to good teams.

You gotta admit, the lack of bubble guys stepping up in the pre-season has been disappointing.

The “depth” doesn’t look so great.

Nothing has looked that great. Obviously Pettersson has shown that he is crazy talented, but he doesn’t look ready to be a top line NHL center either. He’s going to get his ass kicked this year. I wish we had enough depth to let him get his feet wet on wing and then transition to center but it’s the Canucks, so...

I'd rather watch Comet games this year.

They haven't had all their glue guys in, so the young scoring guys are having to do too much heavy lifting.

Beagle has looked PK to me, Schaller has been pretty meh, maybe he’ll play with more energy when the games count.

Roussel was my fav of the signings but he doesn’t sound close to returning.

I'd rather watch Comet games this year.

The only game I’ve seen any fight was the first LA game. I really was expecting that type of game all pre-season from the non-rookie bubble players.

Alex Auld on SN 650 postgame show on Virtanen : I am disappointed in Virtanen, he scored a ton of goals in junior but it has not translated to the NHL. He looks like he is comfortable to be in the NHL, he is not showing the desperation needed. #Canucks

That guy ripping OJ and Virtanen? He’s an HF poster. He’s hilarious. He’s also a self-admitted homer so when he turns on players you know it’s bad.

Sadly he was spot on about OJ, kid has the skill but he’s allergic to puck battles which is a problem for a dman. Hopefully he’ll get a wake up call in the AHL, where puck battles galore.

Yes i agree but disjointed preseason line-ups always have bothered me. Personally idk what they look for or what goes on behind scenes. The depth it is hard to say if improved when the D is so lack lustre.

Green on Juolevi: He's going to learn from the things he did well and even the things he made a mistake on. I thought he did some things well. He's going to make mistakes here. He played against a real good hockey team.



They're going to give him a spot imo so Benning doesn't look like a total boob by picking him...just a guess?

Green on Gaudette: His effort level is never deniable. He works and he works. Trying to find out if he's ready for full time or if he needs some time in Utica. I'm trying to play him as much as I can to make sure I make the right decision. We're not there yet
