Marchand-Bergeron-Heinen
DeBrusk-Krejci-Pastrnak
Cehlarik-Coyle-Johansson
Kuraly-Acciari-Wagner
Backes
Not bad ...
But I’d rather see something like:
Marchand-Bergeron-Donato
DeBrusk-Krejci-Pastrnak
Cehlarik-Heinen-Johansson
Kuraly-Acciari-Wagner
Backes
I like Coyle, but I think Donny (frank)ed up giving up Donato for him. Johansson a definite upgrade to Backes. |

i dont think heinen would be ready for that 3C role full time?...he has played a bit of centre but mostly on the wing...

Johansson and Coyle can both play all 3 forward positions ... So it gives them options to play around with.
I wonder what the asking price on Toffoli was and why they veered away? I would have rather seen them go that route unless it would have cost them too much ... Much better player IMO and still has term left. Johansson seemingly hasn’t been the same player since 63 gave him the flying elbow. That 2nd rounder is steep if he’s purely a rental or if he doesn’t pan out.
I can’t get past that they had to give up Donato for Coyle ... Again I like Coyle the player and it’s not his fault, but I have a very hard time not believing that Coyle could have been had for less. I believe Donato will be an elite offensive presence in this league. Another one shipped out because he doesn’t fit the 2-way mold perfectly
If they were worried, they could have put him with Bergy to balance things out.
Marchand - Bergy - Donato/Pasta
DeBrusk - Krejci - Donato/Pasta
This deal to me is a downgrade.

Heinen would be the perfect 3C if we could give him a supporting cast to help elevate his game. The thing I think we’ve all noticed with him this season is that he needs to be surrounded by guys who are going to elevate his game to be effective .... He’s not a guy who is going to make those around him better, it’s vice/versa.
Putting him with a Backes or a Nordstrom isn’t going to work. |

Pretty good, accurate read:
http://bit.ly/2tG20To - JEFF SPICOLI
yeah and which is why couldn't afford to waste another year of Bergy et al and is kind of scrambling. One thing the article doesn't mention is signing John Moore, who has been ok but a healthy scratch a few times, and should have been plugging some holes up front since last summer.
anyway, i think the moves yesterday made them better, but I wish Coyle had a scorer playing with him..
see what happens tonight; SJ has their full squad with new addition |

Not sure about the great Danton being a center.
He looks like PJ with markedly higher offensive upside.
Would love to see Kuraly play here a long time too if he can accept himself as a workhorse grinder. Real valuable guy. |

I love that whole line, all of those guys just work their asses off every second they are on the ice. Reminds me a bit of the merlot line with campbell and thornton and company. This line probably has more actual hockey skill though. |

Ya they're a bit like them, younger but less scoring punch right now. Man if Paille had ever acquired finish...
Paille was also top 2 or 3 in the league at being a nightmare below the goal line for dmen. Just awesome.
Now if 55 can get the puck in the net... Yeah really happy about them. |

I'm actually to the point where I'm happy to go on the PK. Fkn Camel looks like he is willing guys to turn the puck over to him in the worst places. |

Gotta get out from underneath the Backes contract somehow. I’d like to see them free up that money and get a guy like Ferland in Carolina. - JEFF SPICOLI

Anders Bjork’s season is over. Again. More shoulder surgery.
Looking less and less promising that he can beat these shoulder issues and continue his progression and development. Not good.
Wishing the kid all the best. He’s gotta be feeling pretty discouraged right now. - JEFF SPICOLI
3 rounds later and totally forgot he played this year |

but still Bruins property if returns...guess he realized he is moving down the depth chart with Frederic and Studnicka doing decent...get his game back and see what happens..maybe a trade chip... |
