We may not be able to trade Bogo, but we sure as fk aren't paying him to "play" on this team after his contract expires.
Using the term play generously in regards to his tenure here.

- seedy

He's still got another year, so I'd assume he's here next year and playing. Could be wrong. I just see guys like Pilut and Guhle waiting in the wings next year, possibly losing out because of guys like him. I see them getting less playing time in the minors because of Tennyson and Fedun. Just not liking that aspect of it.

It's a nitpick, I will log it with the proper officials.

Yeah, I think they did the right thing keeping Sparks though. He was best of the 3 IMO.

Andersen is a workhorse. Not like he'll see much action anyways. But McElhenny has been pretty decent for the Laffies

I hear you. What about right now though. It seems they are 100% in the way.

Botts has created a system where the cream rises to the top. The best players graduate to the NHL club, the guys behind them move up a tier in the pecking order and the 2 best D-man in Cincinnati move up to the AHL club. He's done a pretty good job of replenishing all the Murrency that was spent to get a couple of bozos that were supposed to lead us to the promised land.

All true. But Mc is an old tire, Sparks still has some room to grow. Was a toss up. Still, I'm happy to see them lose assets for nothing.

Washington took Jaskin, and Vancouver is going to loan Gagne close to Toronto. Which means Belleville, Marlies or Amerks. He'd be a sweet get for Rochester.

You can't send down a waiver claim without putting him through waivers. So yes, he starts in Scott Wilson's place.

Team carries 14 forwards to start the season.

JFC....I thought this was his last year.

If that dude doesnt play some games this year, they need to take him behind the barn.
At this point, he should be paying the Sabres to put on their sweater.

I would argue with you that Larsson and Girgs being present on the opening day roster is a sign that not all this is true.

Don't get me wrong, I like the depth. But I'm not sure that there are many defenders left that would gain anything by playing in the ECHL. First year signings are one thing, but too many cooks in the kitchen not to have someone get shafted.

Might be making a mountain out of a mole hill, but I think guys like Guhle, Pilut and Borgen should be getting the bulk of the minutes on the farm. With Tennyson, Fedun, Hunwick, Paetsch, MacWilliam and Atwal there, that is surely not going to happen. We'll see how it turns out.

Yeah he really is an anchor of a contract. Will be nice having that 5+ back.

We are in a better situation now. Before I just wanted his money, now I want his money and his roster spot.

Poor Bogo. Really nice guy too.

Solid pick up for free IMO.

Scored some decent 5 on 5 points for 4th line minutes

What you know about Dougherty?

Did the hype die down? I know, or thought I knew, you were one of the ones advocating for him during the draft. Maybe I remember incorrectly.

It's defensemen....4 will be hurt at all times, minimum. There's also the veteran limit in Rochester. I don't think it's really a big deal, once things get going.

I think thats what i comes down to.
We may start unloading players as the season goes on, injuries happen to other teams and they need to address them. The only other way to address making space is to let guys like that walk when their contracts expire.
I think its a better position to be in than where we were with murray, which was zero depth and betting on your NHL team making the playoffs.

An upgrade over Girgensons forsure. Perfect 4th line LW.
