From the free agent pool? No. No they did not.

I think that's the Sabres fan in all of us. No other gm wanted these guys for free off waivers.

Based on Mitts pre-season, i think 3C with these two vets is probably a good thing. Hopefully before long, he has moved his way up to 2C.

Free agency is going to be poor for the OL. There's a few top OL in the first couple rounds. Looks like 2019 draft is very rich in DL and DB players. Couple decent WRs in FA. Bills might/should look into trading down and grabbing an extra 2nd. The holes in this roster, god damn.

Haven't seen much of the preseason. He appeared to have some chemistry with Nylander, but he got sent down, so we'll see.
I think all we ask is that he be defensive responsible, win about 1/2 his faceoffs and be able to chip in at least somewhat. He's obviously not going to replace O'rilley but he's also considerably cheaper.

Sabres cancel practice today.. chances Eichel is named captain today or tomorrow?

I'd say "as advertised."

Solid defensively, not a ton of O, but good instincts. He showed good chemistry with his fellow Swede Nylander. I hope to see more of that should injuries arise

I couldn't be happier that we are at the end of the Baptiste/Bailey nonsense...they had FOREVER to stake a claim..and never did. Hopefully Larsson is done as well, and the final grains of sand are running out of Girgensons hourglass. Time to lose with NEW guys...
