Elie/Malone/Bailey next year won't bother me at all.

I've seen a lot of Bailey. The last time I saw him was during the Pens pre-season game a couple weeks ago. He has speed and power and is able to hold onto the puck. What he can't do is make a decent decision to save his life. He has no creativity and his vision/IQ is pretty poor.

I came away from that game totally understanding why he can't, and probably won't, be a full time NHLer.

Initial glance at the line is ugly to me. But after thinking about it, I like it.

Sobotka is a good FO guy, and is able to take Dzone FOs in place of CM if/when necessary. He also offers the ability to clear space for Okposo and CM. No, he's not there for points, but having a pair of strong vets next to CM isn't the worst thing in the world. I'd rather have VS there than ZG, SW (equal talent, lacks FO ability), JL, RE. Erod, maybe, but he can't clear space like VS. Plus, Erod is a much better C than LW.

Nylander will be up here sooner or later. Needs to clean up his own zone. Which will come with time. When Nylander forces himself onto the lineup, we'll be throwing someone to the wire, or probably less likely, making a trade.

I couldn't be happier that we are at the end of the Baptiste/Bailey nonsense...they had FOREVER to stake a claim..and never did. Hopefully Larsson is done as well, and the final grains of sand are running out of Girgensons hourglass. Time to lose with NEW guys...

he said in a clip from overseas that he can play both but prefers right wing...

Nylander will be up here sooner or later. Needs to clean up his own zone. Which will come with time. When Nylander forces himself onto the lineup, we'll be throwing someone to the wire, or probably less likely, making a trade.

That's always been the frustrating part about him. He shows glimpses of being a top 6 player, then stretches where he doesn't belong in the NHL. You would think he could adapt and become a quality 4th liner.

You were misinformed. Nelson is in charge around here.
