Quebec universities weren't good enough for you?

EDIT: Congratulations by the way!

I always wanted to go study abroad, but you had to apply for it quite in advance to do it for only a semester during the Bachelor's. So, I applied in Edinburgh for the MSc knowing that I was guaranteed a spot in Sherbrooke Uni for the masters in finance as well if I were to be rejected. I also was interested by two top notch schools in Barcelona, but I had to do an extra test that required 100 hours of studying in preparation. I was already studying for my full-time classes and for the CFA level 1 at the time (suggested 200 hours of study to pass), so I had enough on my plate. Thankfully I got accepted in Scotland.

Honestly I don't think I'm smarter for having studied abroad (I'm definitely poorer ), but I met a boatload of people that will become great international contacts further in our respective career and I got to learn different approaches to Finance as well as many new cultures.

Et Merci!

I am still debating whether to buy a kilt when I go back in Scotland in November for graduation. I would also be able to wear it for the ceremony.

Depends if you're a fan of your clan tartan. If you are, then go for it.

I am not a part of a clan, unfortunately (my ancestors are all French). Maybe that would be cultural appropriation to wear one

Been to Edinburgh in 2010. My favourite city so far. One of my girlfriend's friend lives there, she maried a Scotish guy so I'm hoping to go back there in the next few years.

EDIT : Smarter or not, those kind of life experiences are always worth it. Wish I had done the same thing when I was at Uni.

And you learn to go out earlier (at least for us Québécois). Bars closing at 1AM are rather rare out here. The craziest thing is that Scots manage to be drunk by 9PM.

The real question should be: How did such a less than mediocre player get a 622 consecutive game streak?
