He never actually jumped Eller.
He told him what was coming after the flyby.
Eller skated back over and told Marchy to go (frank) his hat.
Marchy found him next shift and instigated the fight.
A couple of quick paws and some sweater tugging, and then Eller was fully engaged.

He jumped a guy who had all of ZERO fights in the NHL and it was premeditated....just because you tell someone you want to fight them does not make it OK... You don't want to get embarrassed, Don't give up 7 goals.... Your players where more embarrassed that your got "shown up" then actually playing hockey...

I agree here. It wasn't a terrible, suspendable offense. And really, had it been any other player, it wouldn't have the same attention. Still, it was a Richard move, but nothing particularly horrible.

I hope Boston is winning by 7 tonight and Marchand gets a hattrick and then jumps Jeff Skinner.

Problem is they didnt come to play. Yeah, they had to stand around for 1/2 hour, but that was truly pathetic. Rask needs to play 60 minutes, and everyone else needs to get their head out of their ass.

Well, I don't know why I'm better or not, as I have never played an NHL game and am not employed by any NHL team.

And I'm glad that you're now drawing comparisons between Marchand and the goon-laden Flyers teams of the 70s and 80s. A very high, respectable bar to reach for. But please, show me where I said the Flyers have a clean reputation.

And for the record, I want Radko Gudas thrown out of the league for what he did, never liked Carcillo, and never wanted Ulf Samuelsson on the Flyers during his stay, so no, it's not a Flyers bias.

Edit: I'm a huge Eric Lindros fan, and he was one of the dirtiest players in the league during his time, so I'm a hypocrite on that one.

Seriously, Philly fans going to lecture on dirty play? You don't need to go back to the 80's. In recent history you've had/have Gudas, Rinaldo(yes Boston did too), Car Bomb, Hartnell, Weise, Pronger. Your teams unofficial nick name is The Broad St Bullies. Historically the style of play between the 2 franchises is very similar. Just stop it.
