Khabib has never gone more than a couple rounds so if the fight goes deep i could see him having some stamina problems. going to be interesting for sure. i'm a huge Khabib fan, love watching him maul people like a bear but i think Conor's ground game/ability to escape the big takedowns is underrated.

Khabib's grappling\ground game is something Conor should be very concerned with.

I think the longer the fight goes, the more likely it is Khabib wins. This doesn't mean that I don't think Khabib can win it quickly, i think he can if he gets Conor on the mat quickly and is grappling\wrestling him.

My guess is if Conor wins it is early and it is because Conor rocked him with a few shots to the head\jaw.

Should be a fun fight.

Conor isn’t a big cardio guy either. And yeah people really underrated Conor’s takedown defense, plus Khabib didn’t impress me much his last fight against Iaquinta. Both are nightmare matchups for each other; Khabib gotta watch out for the left! I truly hope it’s a dog fight

I actually don’t believe the new season of flyers hockey is starting yet. All I can think about is couturier playing a monster game on one leg while the team blew the last game of the year. I hope tonight makes me forget all of that

Conor def has to get in there early to rock him just to prevent any potential ground mauling. I think a little key factor that Conor needs to do that will knock Khabib off his game is win the 1st round. Khabib has never lost a single round so it will be interesting to see what he does if that happens. It’s gonna be great and part of that is the fact that they really hate each other haha.

Toronto's PP1 has their top three centers (Matthews, Tavares, Kadri), so they are forced to start PP2 (unless 4th-line drew the penalty), and then they're forced to use their 4th-line to take the next shift after every PP ends. It's really restrictive, and a bit unnecessary, IMO.

Montreal was sending their top-line out immediately after the kill last night for a guaranteed mismatch. Imagine if the Flyers did that -- you'd have Lehtera out against other teams top-lines multiple times per night. No thanks.

I agree. I think it would go along way for Conor too, if he can win the first round.

The hate is real too, it bleeds through the TV.

What sucks is being on the East coast, the fight wont happen until after 11 our time, probably close to midnight.

You dudes just spent that money on Tavares. You don’t try to set the precedent after that. Or you set it with Matthews. I’m not sure what they’re far apart on, but they should be able to sign him to a reasonable deal that’s 6-8 years. I think it only gets too expensive for the leafs once they all hit their UFA years.
