I won't complain if he only gets 24 goals this year.

27 goals and we got a deal.

Good news is Gudas looks good
- bulet13

Yeah. It's tough, though -- Provorov and Ghost are eating minutes against the Karlsson line. Hard to look good if the forwards don't help like they should or turn pucks over

Best Flyer of the period in my opinion had to be Sanheim . Perfect mixture of aggressive play but also knowing when to get back too. You can tell last season he was a bit nervous and maybe second guessing himself at times. Doesn't look to be that way so far for him and I hope it continues.

Solid question.

Would Folin be worse the Amac at this level?

- ggunky

A pairing of Folin/ Hagg scares me. Bot are on the lower side of puck moving ability. At least AMac can make a consistent pass.

Imo the real answer for that line is to get Myers up.

YES!

And like what someone else just mentioned, depth scoring. a goal from each of the second and 3rd lines.

- ggunky

Yup a 2 goal period without any points from the top line or top D pair is nice to see. This team is going to score goals, how well a job they do preventing them will be what makes or break the season.

Also, seeing some aggressiveness on the PK was nice to see....finally

After a slow start, which is typical for the road team in a home opener, the Flyers picked it up nicely and finished strong.

Had sweat off all that booze from the “team building” exercises before they could really get going I guess

Missed most of the first. Happy to hear this! If he takes a step forward into being a solid top 4. Great news.

Can’t watch. How do they look boys
- flyer_nutter

Sanheim, Oskar, Vorobyev all looked great

Bad change led to Vegas goal

Elliot had some good saves, was maybe off his angle a bit on the goal

Raffl and Laughton are 2/3rds of a potentially good 4th line

D still looks iffy in their own zone. AMac already pulled an AMac.

Other than that they look pretty good.

Bad ice for both teams, but overall pleased with 1st period of the season.

Considering how hard it's been for them to score a bunch of goals recently aside from last season I'm glad to see we have 3 scoring lines. That's what you need in the NHL to be a good team nowadays.

It's sad. All that talent up and down the lineup and goaltending that just isn't good enough

AMac is struggling out there, really have to wonder if he should be playing
- BiggE

The answer is no. But but veteran presence!

I don't remember the last time I felt this good whoever was on the ice...obviously 4th line will always be scary, but I love the makeup of the lineup.

Loved the effort. Hagg and Amac pairing doesn't instill confidence.

I’m not sad, I’m old enough to remember when the Blues were our biggest rival.
