Hopefully this is like the inverse of last year. When they played really well in the opener against the Canadians only to become one of the worst teams in NHL history. Play terribly to start and the only place to go is up |

I was ready to jump off the Grant St. Scajaquada overpass after the first, but the questionable guys looked good (Okposo, Erod, Pommer, Sobotka)
The team looked slow in the first - and nervous.

I’m hoping Eichel settles down. Seemed like he was overthinking everything and trying to do too much.
I did not like Skinner’s game at all tonight.
The D needs to get shots through. Too many into bodies in front of the net. |

I'm sick of this (frank)ing sh!t. Sorry but after sitting through every season since day 1 my patience is razor thin. I know it's just the first game and there are a lot of new players but the effort tonight was abhorrent. - mhp

We had 32 shots on goal and I didn't feel any were dangerous. Need guys going to the net. A college goalie would have poop us out tonight. Sloppy turnovers at the Bruins line hiet us too. |

Undoubtedly.
I would like to see Housley settle the lines down.
Erod and Pommer together are really good. Throw Sobotka or Sheary there. Put Skinner-Eichel-Reinhart back together. Housley panicked too early imo.
Elie goes in for girgs |

Love how the douchebag that should be sitting about 10 games, gets away with anything he wants, and then torches a team the next night for 4 assists; (frank)ing joke.

If this team wants to prove they changed to the world and their own fans, this is not how you start. Regardless of who they were playing. - ImThatGuy
For sure.. but a good learning experience for the rooks, and a good starting game for those that have been around. Bruins are a good team.
Bruins lost by 7 last night, Rask was awful. SJ lost to the team they swept last year in the playoffs after adding EK65 and going into the 3rd up by 2 at home.
They'll be okay. |

They are so boring.
This has to be on coaching, right? - ImThatGuy
The team should have been prepared for a tough Boston team. Again, dump ins with no one winning battles to get the puck. Passes to phantom players. Unfortunately, our star was not even close to a difference maker.

I think Erod and Pommer should stay together though. They had good chemistry
Erod-Berglund-Pominville is a solid line |

Our best players were our worst players. I actually think that's a positive sign.
Risto is a goddamn beast out there too. We're going to win some games. Our forwards are still too slow though. Nylander should be here |

Agreed. Our best forwards are only going to get better. A lot of new faces... gotta feel it out.
Ritso was a beast there in the 3rd. Dahlin looks like he's unshakable.. like he's been in the league for a few years. |
