Bruins lost by 7 last night, Rask was awful. SJ lost to the team they swept last year in the playoffs after adding EK65 and going into the 3rd up by 2 at home.

Bottom six was good. It's a different game if Halak doesn't make a really good save on the Erod one-timer from Pominville. It got out of control by the end of the first, and they tightened up

I wish the fans would give them a longer leash, but the boos were raining down after the first. I understand it, but that didn't help

Can't blame him for that, it's likely not what they talked about all preseason. The Bruins were closing the space and crowding the line, and they didn't want to dump and go to work. The kids tightened up under the pressure of (wait for it) "changing the culture"...it's game 1, they'll settle down...there was some good things we were seeing until the Chara goal.
