Consider it karma for all the cheap shots we took from McGratton for years.

You wanna dance with the big boys...

Props to Hamonic for sticking up for one of their kids (Dube). But yes, big fists hurt faces.

If it’s somewhat interesting and different from the usual fluff pieces then I usually read it.

Hamonic out week to week with a fractured face after Gudbranson fight.

Too bad, but that's probably Gudbranson's biggest contribution in three years

Yes it is. But here is hoping the injuries that limited his output are over and he can continue to play like he did. He was solid, played within his game, and with an edge. If he can keep this up, and not get hurt, we might have another asset.

Lots to ponder there. I come out of it feeling that the better hockey people still have jobs.

Pretty much.

Ultimately we'll never really know what went on behind closed doors.

Yup

I feel like if the American media cared about the NHL then we’d find out. Front office stories in the NBA and NFL get leaked all the time

it wouldn't matter.

people's minds have been made up. sides have been picked. so no matter the report/story, it will be discredited by one side and propped up as evidence by the other. and when all else fails, just blame the media.

The new blog is a pump-up for the Comets' opener tonight, and also includes some nervous musing on the Flames potentially seeking revenge in Cowtown on Saturday night:
