trading a 4th rounder for him was terrific because guaranteed they'll get a 2nd rounder for him at deadline
- jimbro83

As long as he stays healthy its gravy.

We were on the same page with that trade..

Just initial impressions. I think the Rangers will be very competitive in most games. Don't know how many wins that translates into, because not sure there is enough offensive punch there right now. But, I don't think they will be a total train wreck this year. We will get competitive efforts.

On a couple of players, I watched Howden a lot last night. Thought his first half of the game was just blah, but I actually though he played well during the second half of the game. I definitely see something with him.

Also, thought Vesey played very well, which kind of surprised me because just reading the comments on here during the pre-season, seemed like he was a mess.

Same here. Have the feeling that after initial growing pains w/ new system, and rookies getting feet wet that NYR won't have any of those 2-3 Goals Against in 1 min. They look like a team that will bounce back quickly after a goal is allowed.

Mob isn't doing to well these days. They used to get gunned down in nice suits at fancy restaurants, now they get gunned down in sweatpants at McDonalds drive thru's

Maybe on TV...from the stands he only looked 85.

There just happened to be a fiery 88 year old in our section last night and he looked a bit older.

I was at the game last night. Not sure if the team was actually super slow or if playing NHL on Xbox for the last 5 months has messed up my perspective. It looked bizarre to me, especially on a few odd man rushes.

The Nashville 1st goal Joe is going on and on about how Pionk stepped up and lost the puck and he will learn he is still young.. Pionk was the only one back!

Skjei and Leittieri really screwed up there.

my one take is Buch's face at the end. He was pissed. I don't think i've seen him show passion like that before which is a good thing

Skjei got caught on the pinch but Pionk was back. Lettieri got a bit unlucky after deflecting the pass, as it went right back to Nashville, creating the rush. To me, Pionk was the one at fault, as he kept backing into the D zone and went down to take away the pass, which gave Forsberg all kinds of time to shoot.

It was an odd man rush Jan, Pionk was the only one not caught out of position. If he steps on on Forsberg, he just dishes it to whoever his linemate is for an easy breakaway

Namestiknov is probably the least 4th line like player in the world

really if I could choose I would trade his ass out of here, put Vesey on the 4th line and bring up Andersson

I like it. I always said Anderssons game is more suited for a winger, no need to keep him at center
