Bringing home the home town kid might very well be the absolute last ditch attempt to keep the team there, just saying they may completely over pay out of pure desperation and find a way.
I think it’s a long shot but If we were ever to see another huge offer sheet signed ( last one was maybe WEBER with Philly ). This would be it.

Still, the longer Nylander holds out, the less the cap his contract counts towards after this season. It could be mututal at this point considering they couldn't come to a reasonable agreement before the season started.

Leafs got 7 in the third against Montreal... I think buffalo will be better but no idea how much.
