With other GMs aware of Nylander's contract demands, it really puts them in a tough spot... Im sure they would be looking for a top 4 RD in his mid 20's or younger, which sounds fair but how many teams would be willing to pay Nylander 8?

who says he wants 8M? that looks a bit high to me.

in any case, Leafs would be much better off with 8M on the blue line than another 8M forward.
Montour or Manson in ANA could be a nice return. and ANA could use Nylander.

that doesn't make sense to me. he has no leverage, will only be eligible for arbitration, not ufa.
