My father had a small grow room in Burnaby. His house was broken into and the plants were not in flower so they left them but a neighbour had called the cops. He came home and was arrested for his small garden. It was just a couple of shelves with very small plants, maybe 3 dozen only 24 inches tall. This was 2007. Mandatory sentence was one year. He serves the 8 months(3rd off for good behavior) and 6 weeks after he was released, he was given a licence to grow 49 plants... that is more than what he was convicted of... and he grows them way bigger. They did this to a man in his 60's.

Its also going to be bad if you seek to invest in, work at or own a legal weed business and plan on going to the states. Fully legal here, can buy it in the states , but if you you get questioned by the border guards and get flagged, your banned for life except if you pay for a waiver each time you try to cross, assuming they even give you one.
