Thanks for the interview updates, Vantel.
You're a good poster. - Marwood
It was a good interview . I take it that he really thinks Benning has done a horrible job , but of course he couldn't say it. I think we will see him resurface in Seattle |

It’s actually less painful to watch than it has been in years. Last year there was the Boeser watch - if he scores and the team looses in regulation fans were happy. Now we have Boeser who is old hat, and Pettersson who is shiny and new. Next year add a pair of Hughes, a little more loosing. - 1970vintage
It's looking like they can score but just can't keep the puck out of the net. |

Which is a pleasant surprise, because I thought they would have more trouble scoring goals. |

Honestly you can change the whole back end next year goalie included |

He said Torts did have a Murphy bed at the arena, but never used it. He said Torts was not invested in the Canucks or their plan. He said he knew when your coach gets suspended for so many games it is not a good thing. He knew right form the start it was a bad hire.
That's the end of interview - VANTEL
Aquilini hires people like Trump hires people. |

Wait until they start having trouble scoring goals, we've played Calgary and Carolina. |

I’ve got an appointment with my plastic surgeon, planning on changing the whole back end, with VANTEL’s approval |

Don't do it/ There is no more joy than being in the locker room standing nude and watching people trying not to upchuck once they see your wrinkled old ass |

In case any of you filthy animals are interested, Francesco Aquilini will be on Sports Net 650 am radio tomorrow morning at 8:00am. SN also has a good app where you can stream live radio, in case you’re somewhere like New Zealand, or New York. |

Thanks a bunch for those updates, Vantel.
Here's a slice of present-day Gillis-era nostalgia:
Brad Richardson just scored a shorthanded goal for Arizona off a nice feed from Michael Grabner. Kevin Connauton was also on the ice for the Coyotes, making 3-of-4 ex-Canucks on the play.
At the other end of the ice, Ryan Kesler was on the ice for the Ducks on the play. His first game of the year—I wasn't expecting him back so soon.
He has the only goal tonight for the Ducks. |

Great interview by Gillis today, even some humility in there, which kinda shocked me. |

He’s had a lot of time to reflect. Credit to him for concluding and admitting that he made mistakes, lots of people in his position aren’t able to judge themselves critically.
I wonder what the Canucks would look like right now if he hadn’t been let go. Probably not worse. |

When he said it became increasingly aware to him that he was part of the problem, I was somewhat shocked, that's what time can do for you if you let it. |

I think he said at the beginning he was in New Zealand scouting how rugby players train and stay conditioned. He did think out of the box. Sounds like he will be a neighbor pretty soon. Will he and Gilman reunite in the Emerald City

I hope they adopt the Hartford Whalers/Seattle Thunderbirds color scheme. |

A lot of the things he did were pretty innovative, sleep doctors and all that. It’s the kind of thing that you can pursue to gain a slight competitive edge in a league with a salary cap if your owners are willing to spend the money. |
