playing 2nd tier in Sweden won't get you the same hype as if he were playing CHL/USHL/NCAA.
I was indifferent. Given how bare the prospect cupboard was, I thought that at #5, we were going to get a player (no matter the position), that would improve our club. Lots of the Scouts though had high praise for him, so I was happy - Codes1087
Pastrnak played 2nd div his draft year too. |

You just never know how the transition to the bigs will go with most prospects. |

not saying it doesn't happen, but I would say its safe to say they don't get the same attention that the other leagues do. |

the same one who traded the pick used to take Barzal for a Reinhart that has been waived multiple times and has gone unclaimed |

Very true. Van needs to draft a top player that is really a no doubt about it all star. Is Jack Hughes the next Patrick Kane? |

According to his points per game he is better than Kane and Matthews |

He's a shifty center so I'd say that he's the next pettersson. |

I think we already have one of those, but still agree another top5 pick would go a long way whether it's a d or forward. Hard to not like the top5 Hughes, Kakko and Dach all look very legit to me. Broberg looks pretty darn good too. |

Need more then one star player to win. I like a lot of players in this draft. Bowen byram had an impressive goal. The best D are LHD and they have size. |

I thought the RHD were the rare ones? I'm hoping for a forward anyway, there's enough really strong forwards to land a elite one top5 no problem IMO |

Carol Schram: Mike Gillis & Francesco Aquilini on the air as Canucks face the Lightning
Tyler Motte will get a shot on the Vancouver Canucks' top line in Tampa Bay on Thursday, but the latest buzz revolves around former general manager Mike Gillis' lengthy radio interview on Wednesday and Francesco Aquilini's return of serve on Thursday morning. - Carol Schram
So excited for tonight, glad Nilsson is starting tonight, the team will loose but, I mean at least the first shot against shouldn't be in the back of the net... |
