The shots against Vegas were all from the outside. Vegas had like 3 quality chances all afternoon.
Still two handfuls of new faces into the lineup.
They're not clicking yet, but they are 2-2. Let's wait a month and a half before we start throwing this season away. - Stripes77
Spot on.
The Year of Transition is just that, transition the roster, the system, the attitude. Yes, the culture.
It requires patience as it will i fact be a rollercoaster ride all season...with bigger bumps up front, smaller bumps down the road.
Expectations of a smooth ride are crazy IMO
It is fun to watch the development of both individual players, and the team as it finds chemistry between players. |

Call up Guhle and Pilot. - ImThatGuy
Guhle is not playing well for Rochester.
I am kinda shocked. I thought he’d be a 20 min NHl’er By mid season this year |

Take aways from my first time really down close:
1. The shoot twice blue line is a great place to see the game.
2. Think twice about sitting very close to the visitors bench, because lots of the visitors fans sit in that area.
3. Rows 15 - 20 are better than rows 1 - 14, the extra height provides a better perspective for the entire ice.
4. It sucks to be surrounded by lots of visitors fans when the visitors are kicking the Sabres ass.
5. Four dudes got pulled from rows 1 - 4 for jawing and chesting at one another. I yelled to them "Suck it Beady" and they didn't look up.

I have this horrible sinking feeling that when Bogo gets activated off IR, they're going to send Thompson down instead of waiving Larsson. They just can't help themselves. |

If they didn't know that before yesterday, I have little faith that it dawned on them today |

They'll just send Tennyson down. Thompson may go down, but I think he'll get about 10 games first.
Right now, they have a top line and 3 3rd lines. None of the 3 are producing enough. Hard to say who the odd man out will be when they do, or who will be hurt.

Pilut has already surpassed him. Ever since training camp he’s been the better player. Guhle still has time though. I think guhle’s ceiling is a really good #5 anyways. |

Lines at Practice today:
Sheary-Eichel-Reinhart
Skinner-Mitts-Okposo
Sobotka-Berglund/Larsson-Thompson
Girgensons/Elie-Erod-Pominville
All Housley has to do is swap Eichel with Mittelstadt. Put Erod as the LW with berglund and Thompson. And Sobotka as 4th line C. But Housley is always 10 games behind the curve so hopefully we’ll get my wishes in November. |

I think the lines are based on "being nice" to the veteran players.
Phil is more worried about giving the alternate captains and preferred linemates to the veterans.
Mainly okposo on the 1 pp.
Phil's not worried about his job.... yet.
And Casey Nelson looks terrible so far- bowl u has outplayed him, believe it or not. |

He's not ready to move away from the 1 line that's producing. Hard to blame him for that.

They didn't cave after 2-0 yesterday, last year they would have, so I am hopeful. I hate to jump the gun, but I think yesterday showed me we still have a long way to go. I want to be .500 or above, is that overly optimistic for this year? |
