You've never looked so good.
You're still 4-1 good sir. Probably be 5-1 next round. |

I dunno. I think he's legit. He's the next Taylor Hall once he gets out of the cursed tundra. |

In fairness to him, he has to carry around the anchor that is Lucic and a rookie while coached by a guy that still employs dump n chase tactics and off-the-glass-and-out breakouts. Cut him some slack. |

So, what would it take to get Kreider off you (frank)s? Lucic and a pick for Staal? Anything? Help us |

Bad luck is acceptable as with Zib's 2 posts hit in preventing a hat trick day, or missed opportunities like Chytil not taking advantage in finishing off a lucky bounce off the backboards right out to him alone in front while Talbot was not set in position when trailing 2-1 in the 3rd. But when impartial officiating plays the direct difference in the outcome for the third time in 4 losses, & now costing them anywhere from 3 to 6 LOST POINTS in the standings after just 5 games in, that is not acceptable.
I can't recall 3 of 5 games lost in a stretch of any season, where obvious missed uncalled penalties committed by the opposition resulted in the game deciding goal allowed. And, with that coming immediately on the same sequence, or either a few seconds after, or as today, 1:11 after the ensuing face off's sequence. Also worse in this game, it required two missed calls 10 seconds apart without a whistle to doom them, first on Oilers d'man, Jason Garrison, and on the second one, additionally incorrectly penalizing Namestnikov instead of properly, Oilers forward in Yaramoto as play reverted into the Rangers zone.
That's why this predominantly young Rangers team is only 1-4-0, with their one win coming in OT. Minus the loss to Carolina where neither team deserved to win, their effort deserves them a better fate. Also proving so is the fact that when deducting their 3 Empty Net Goals allowed, (one in each of the first 3 losses), their goal differential is only a (-3) in the 5 games. That's correct, with an actual "1 goal lower" count than their 4 losses, despite losing to Carolina by 2 goals when not including their empty netter, and depicting even greater the officiating's role played in the other three losses. |

Are we sure we couldn't arrange something more along the lines of Nurse/Klefbom and Lucic fro Kreider and Staal/Smith (whichever they want less)?
I'll have what he's having. |
