He was a late 3rd rounder. Had and still has the skillset of an NHLer but for some reason can’t put it together.
And...take a look at that draft...I can’t find more than two players (and 2 is arguably a stretch) taken in any round after him that I’d rather have.

those drafts when the first time we picked was late placed an undo expectation on guys like Day and Gropp, it wasn't their fault we traded picks away, they should never have first round pick expectations
