I see your point, but its the exact opposite imo. This wasnt a blown out of proportion story, and it was probably a story that would have been justified had it been more covered (concussions are prevalent and a huge issue in sports). Seeing 1 or 2 media guys cover it isnt really it being blown out if porportion imo, and no one is really making it a big deal. People calling for bennings head, and all the media covering and getting to the bottom of whether gagner got a phone call when waived would be the definition of the media blowing it out of proportion imo.

Again there are government laws that say you have the right to refuse to work in a dangerous environment . If Demko felt it was dangerous for him he had the right to refuse.

To be fair, i think a lot of people missed it, myself included. The stick is 100% between petterssons legs, but still not sure its necessarily used as a "can opener". Still think its more so matheson throwing pettersson while off balance.

It looks to me like he uses the stick to lift Petey off the ice before throwing him down. It's only a phone hearing so it won't be a long suspension.

If you are going to start the riot please get the facts right . The nothing story we are talking about is Demko flying . Back to your anger again carry on.
- VANTEL

I don't think that was a nothing story either. Just another weekly chronicle of the total ineptness of this disastrous management team.
I hope Benning is fired midway through the upcoming 20 game losing streak.

Vantel was right. I thought he was referring to Pettersson as the nothing story. I still ranted in response though.

Exactly!!! And that opportunity was missed big time.
For a nothing story, it seems to be getting a lot of attention.

- Marwood

And that attention is correctly focused on the lack of pushback by the team, not the concussion itself (as you pointed out).

If management is not willing to point this out then it’s up to the fans to do it. Hopefully our message gets to the locker room.

Fans have expectations and I don’t think we are being unreasonable or dramatic.

I'm all for pointing out this mgmt's ineptitude but I have a really hard time believing they are ignoring doctors advice or they have doctors okaying putting concussed players on flights.

The doctor cleared Demko and Demko did have the right to refuse to fly. He is also very close to returning.

I couldn't give a rats ass about Weisbrod or Benning. I do like that everyone is on the same page with Canucks but I know they have to go.
