"Everyone loves drama, no denying that. But you know I love more? A team with pride and a damn backbone.
I guess your comment here threw me off.
I have come to terms with Canucks and Grit being an oxymoron . - VANTEL
Yeah, because I totally loved and defended Daniel Sedin letting an angry midget use him as a punching bag
I was pissed then too.
And I’m confused as well, for years you’ve hated this team being soft and now all of a sudden the Sedins aren’t around to blame so you’re coming up with excuses for your favourite team now.
If you were watching this game as a neural fan you 100% would call the Canucks soft. You can pretend to believe what you’re saying but I’m guessing you were pissed last night too. |

Why is there a constant he said, she said, with Benning and the organization. I hate this franchise - LeftCoaster
Last blog I called you a non fan and you decried that description yet here you are saying that you hate the Canucks.
To much sun? You can hate the front office but don't call yourself a fan of a team you hate...

That is because you are confusing what I want and what Canucks can give.
You can hope all you want for this team to be big mean gritty fast and talented but you will be very disappointed.
They are what they are
I actually wasn't pissed . I have seen it year over year with this team no response. You sort of become numb to it and not notice it anymore. |

Then why bother bringing in guys who can fight? Might as well just go all skill/speed
I can’t help being pissed and turning into a overdramatic fan when I see no response to the franchise player getting body slammed and concussed with the puck not even near him.
Especially after seeing what happened to Daniel Sedin after his concussion, and Eriksson after his concussions. |

You said it yourself Beagle and Schaller are not real fighters. The scores are close they won a few games.
Canucks have a rich history of franchise players being smoked
Sedin/Keith
Sedin /Marchand
Boesser /Lewis
Pattersson/ Matheson
I don't know what to tell you. |

reading the comment section of EK's pinned article is actually quite surprising. I am not used to other team's posters coming to the defense of a Canuck lol. |

Deliberately attempt to injure? No.
Play physically during the play and instigate the pushing and shoving in between whistles. Face wash the skilled players until one of their players wants to do anything.
Talking sh!t and waiting until February is laughable. And to be honest, I won't give a sh!t if Florida misses the playoffs by 1 point. Seriously, it will provide zero satisfaction. - RealityChecker
Honestly, I think this is silly and juvenile, it doesn't say tough or push back to me, it says we want to do something but are too afraid to. Even if Stecher was the biggest guy on the ice at the moment, that was the time, and only time to make an effective statement. Though, Petey lying on the ice might have had peoples attention more than their blood lust. |

I get your point of view. Even your characterization as "blood lust." Lol
We just seem to approach different philosophically.
I believe that emotion and physicality has a definite place in hockey. Even where those elements might not be the best tactically in the moment.
It may be silly and juvenile but we are talking about hockey... a game.
And the message is as much for your own team than it is for the other in these situations, especally for a young team with an undersized superstar.
Hamonic may have a broken face but I bet you every person in that organization respects him for his "blood lust." |

Another day with no shortage of talking points!
Sounds like Pettersson is doing reasonably well today. The same cannot be said for Jay Beagle. And I didn't even get around to mentioning Luongo's thousand-game ceremony or Anders Nilsson's second strong game.
Here's the new blog. Have at 'er:

The franchise truly is cursed, it's impossible to have so many idiots over so many years operating it....I mean, it's gotta be? - LeftCoaster
Just think how the Oilers feel! Canucks are at least sticking to a plan. |
