This. JJ still comes to contribute here so I’d argue that the JJ character bashing is against the Code of Conduct. Myself and Simple Jack were the only ones here who didn’t want to lock up Patrick Kane and throw away the key in 2015 summer due to completely BOGUS accusations. JJ and I argued and we were both firm in our opinions. Half of you railing on JJ exclusively post commentary on the posts of others, opposed to actually contributing to the dialogue. JJ grew this site and whether you believed his “sources” or not, has a good writing style and hockey knowledge. Fake news, witch hunt, SAD!


I’d give Saad a look with Anisimov bc Hayden has done pretty much nothing all year and I just don’t see how any offense can be expected with 3 slugs in Art, Kunitz and Hayden all on one line.

Look I understand Gus had a bad game as I said he was turnover crazy but so was Manning; just that Gus was so glaring ie touch inside pass to Blues early and giveaway late on the game leading to breakaway. But given the two Gus at least provide you with some offense\ive support and Kane will always vouch for him. It is just the refinement of his offensive skills meaning carrying it out of d zone, first pass out of d zone, weakside outlet, etc and not the one touch passes or blind drop passes

What are your options other than Gus? He provides something that no other D has until Forsling comes back. Gus has better offensive "feel" than Forsling whereas Forsling has better speed carrying the puck and better defensively.

I have no problems with your post, I agree with you, your clarification helped over what you had earlier. It was my venting all those comments at Gus, then was a great ot hero, excusing his game.

This so just my opinion but Saad might be the one that misses Hossa the most, if he didn't hustle or made a lazy or stupid play Hossa would state a hole in Saad and he didn't often do it again. Damn Hossa was awesome.

The best was when JJ posted one of the absurd rumours we made up and told us his other "sources" verified it! What we couldn't believe was the HB community never questioned him, even though most rumours were so off the wall.

Call it catharsis but maybe look the other way for a day if you don't care to acknowledge it...or read past. It may be ugly but it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

There were several of us who waited for the evidence to come in before passing judgment.

And some of us (me included) who cautioned others on both sides to do the same.

I remember personally posting about the effect the incident (true or not) would/could have on the Hawks’ brand management - not how I thought it SHOULD affect the franchise, but how I thought they MIGHT be reacting to it - a legitimate question for discussion.

I think it’s fairly arrogant of you to post that of the dozens of regular posters here, only you and one other didn’t convict and “vote” to banish him.

As far as supporting him goes: why would you assume (even two years away from the “me too movement”) that he was telling the truth and she wasn’t? Seems to me the better thing for all f us to do would be to take “her” allegations seriously (which the Buffalo authorities apparently did) and wait for the evidence to play out.
