I would like to hear some of those stories.

The hawks are 3-0-2 The captain is playing like everyone’s hoped. The team over all is a work in progress. With some young player (28,12 and to a lesser extent 24) giving us hope. So why the sudden hate/ bashing of JJ who put out blogs and info about our beloved hawks helping spread hockey info. LOve him or hate him it’s in the pass let’s cheer the hawks and be happy.

You may be right that he might not have thought Cat would make the team last year, but I don't recall him saying he'd never make it to the NHL, just that being successful in juniors didn't necessarily mean he'd have that same success in the NHL. Nothing wrong with that analysis. I always took his comments to be more of a wait and see approach. Good for you for being right that Cat could make an impact right away. I still think you're mischaracterizing JJ's argument though. Saying "I'll believe it when I see it," isn't the same as "trashing Cat."

Give me a break. He TRASHED everything sbout Cat - EVERYTHING. Couldn’t skate, stats wouldn’t translate, AHL for sure needed, if/when made NHL would have little success. Way too small. Said played as older player against younger players in Jr. which was nonsense. I said he excelled as a very young player in Jr. too. I had a recent Twitter debate with him too - said to him “remember when you were TOTALLY wrong about DeBrincat which shut him up instantly.

He actually made a blog centered on me, referencing my points and wording in exact detail, “teaching” everyone what a genius he was with all my points having no validity. However, I had watched Cat at Erie. He was AMAZING. Handled puck in a phone booth like Kane. Incredible ability to find the open man. Seemed to always find open ice to take passes. Incredible shot and release. Peripheral vision off the scale. So very hard to hit. Goes to tough areas. Sneakily fast. Plays D hard. Size a non-issue as very strong on skates and strong, stocky core. All sound familiar? His abilities of course would translate. Thank goodness for the stupidity of all other NHL teams in letting him fall to the Hawks because of his height.

JJ also did/does something that is funny to make himself appear smart/smarter. Ask him a ?. He will answer with an obvious point everyone knows as if you don’t know a thing, when your question obviously actually goes far deeper. It is hilarious. Something like “In the diamond PP wouldn’t you agree that if Kane is running the PP predominantly off the right boards the player at the top should be right-handed so he can open up for one-timers? JJ answer - “Well the diamond if a type of PP used in the NHL.” Final point - I followed Freidman and others regarding trades as JJ NEVER knew anything about trades coming.

He wrote long pieces - with almost no white space - and it you read them, they made less and less sense.

Some of us called him / questioned him on stuff and he would get insulted - like - how dare you question me, I played....
