The fact that Jpat is now urging it on literally means it's a non story anymore and he's just stirring poop up. No one has taken another liberty at Boeser.

Somebody beats up your sister. Your first thought is to beat that person up(probably). You both end up in jail. That seems to have solved everything.

The media is pouncing on the fact that the entire fan base is currently engaged with retribution and hate. I am seeing some of the local van media guys are interviewing the Pens locker room on the hit and getting their perspective. Until EP plays again, this will most likely be the driver behind all of the media headlines.

Sign...doctor Nucker knows best. I have flown with concussions in the past, no impact. If he had swelling or an oxygen bubble? Well no, he wouldn’t be flying. Case by case Jr.

Welcome back, how was the honeymoon?

No impact on your brain! Your posts suggest a difference in opinions with that statement.

I kid of course, welcome back.

Again, if he’s out for 7-10 days then what’s the harm in leaving him with a team doctor in Florida for a couple of days just in case?

What’s there to gain by having him fly with the team the next day if he can’t play?

Demko’s symptoms worsened after flying despite getting cleared.

Professional doctors let Crosby play the next game where he got hit by Hedman along the boards after suffering a concussion against the Capitals the previous game.

Could he be trusted not to play.... fortnight? I think not.

.@patersonjeff: This is a massive issue going forward. Five games into his NHL career. You don't think that other teams see that there was no response, and there was no response last year to the Boeser/Lewis? If you're Boeser, sitting on the bench, what are you thinking?

First Carol mentions Botch and Taj in her blog 🤢and now we have Jpat? Ffs

Yup. The real world doesn’t end up with both guys charging each other, going to court and doing jail time.

Either the league polices it or the players do and if the players do, then you end up with old time hockey again and another group of players suffering for the rest of their lives. That's my final thought.

Seems par for the course that the prospects get concussions. Demko, calling Boeser next ... has Juolevi or Hughes had one yet?

you know what? it really isn't about retribution and hate for me (well not totally.)

we're all subject to our experience and i'm no different. in my beer league career, whenever one player stood up for another, it only brought the team closer together. after the game, there is usually some backslapping and attaboys to the guy who stood up. i remember one time where 1 guy bought the post game dinner and beer for the "hero."

in this case, i think it would have been great for this team and especially these youngsters to see that these things matter and do not go unnoticed.

i'm not saying that they don't have each others' backs or they aren't close. i'm just saying that at the beginning of the season, for a young team with no team captain and little identity, a group show of "fcuk you," would have gone a long way.

It’s a goddamn embarrassment. I haven’t had a phone as I was in a bit of a tussle in the desert and lost it. But been following along the last couple weeks. My favourite was when there were 500 posts about Jimbo not calling Gagner. (frank) that was funny. Completely agree regarding the lack of pushback. They should scratch Gudbranson for a game to send a message. Roussel gets a pass

I don't think it has to be one extreme or the other. I think people are jumping to one side or the other, strictly because it feels like the Canucks GM/coach/players almost left it in the hands of the league, rather than do something themselves, but this stuff happens more often than people think. Gudbranson fought Martin after he went after Stecher the next game. Gudbranson fought Hendricks when Hendricks knocked out Ekblad. Mathesons only fight, which is super ironic, was an immediate fight with David Backes after Backes did a dirty hit on Trochek. I think the players can police themselves, the Canucks just didn't do it. Leaving it to the league to handle and using "we wanted to keep our composure and take the 2 points" was an awful excuse for how they handled it, IMO.

lol its funny enough that you bring up beer league. In my island league, If a guy gets a blatant whack on the back of the leg, the team retaliates. Headshots or hits in the numbers, there is usually a line brawl (mostly hugging with 2 guys usually fighting). Can't compare what is on the line in a beer league game vs a NHL game, but I would agree. Having said that, Beer league players get upset at every little unintentional whack, or unintentional hit, so its apples and oranges, but I see your point lol
