Again, if he’s out for 7-10 days then what’s the harm in leaving him with a team doctor in Florida for a couple of days just in case?

What’s there to gain by having him fly with the team the next day if he can’t play?

Demko’s symptoms worsened after flying despite getting cleared.

Professional doctors let Crosby play the next game where he got hit by Hedman along the boards after suffering a concussion against the Capitals the previous game.

Maybe you should apply to be the team mother, or just bubble wrap the guy for fcuk sake

[quote=RealityChecker]you know what? it really isn't about retribution and hate for me (well not totally.)

Yeah thinking about it more, 100% agree. The excuse about it being a tight game is bs in my mind. Down the road, who's gonna care about game 5 in 2018? What would matter more is a guy thinking twice about pulling out the chokeslam and potentially avoiding concussion #3 or 4 for EP in 2022. Not to mention the bonding piece and forming a team identity and clear leadership.

If it was a hockey play, clean hit ... ok fine. Maybe the 'tight game' argument flies. But this was a clear 'this kid ain't gonna burn me again' shot.

I still don't know if it's much of a suspension, if any. I don't think it was egregious and I don't think the end result is the same if he weren't a buck seventy. Same kind of thing as if big bert weren't build line an nfl linebacker back in the day ...

A rational response.

It’s a simple risk vs reward question. Answer it properly and I’ll drop this. Or keep giving troll responses and expect the “hysteria” to continue

Whoops meant to quote this on ^ ... trainwreck!

we're all subject to our experience and i'm no different. in my beer league career, whenever one player stood up for another, it only brought the team closer together. after the game, there is usually some backslapping and attaboys to the guy who stood up. i remember one time where 1 guy bought the post game dinner and beer for the "hero."

in this case, i think it would have been great for this team and especially these youngsters to see that these things matter and do not go unnoticed.

i'm not saying that they don't have each others' backs or they aren't close. i'm just saying that at the beginning of the season, for a young team with no team captain and little identity, a group show of "fcuk you," would have gone a long way.

These are the Canucks . You would think after years and years of no pushback you would know by now? Who are you expecting to go after him ? Edler Tanev Lou or Goldi?

Bo's comments were it was unfortunate. I am not sure how Schaller or Beagle viewed the play but the whole team ( coach included ) though it was better to win than fight.

Sure you can put a guy like MacEwen on EPs line but I would rather see him and Boeser lighting it up.

This is where the NHL needs to step in and say the act was excessive , and suspend the player. If you don't want the violence in the game then you got to do what you did to Wilson.

This is not as aggressive by any means but you do need to set an example with a 3-4 game suspension based on the injury.

Just remember though this is the Canucks not the Bruins Flyers or Kings

Then why are they spending money on “grit”?
