Man, Lehkonen just can't finish a play! How long will this last? Was his first year a fluke with 18(?) goals??
- Snots33_77

He's no sniper, that's pretty obvious...

He's a real smart, 2 way third line winger who will probably never exceed 15-20 goals a season.

He's still young, the season as well. 4 points in 6 games isn't all that bad either. Chill...

He had a tough game last night, but on that open net opportunity, that pass from Armia was wobbling, hard to handle and it gave Allen time to move in position to make the save.

Right... They also play him on his off wing, he's adapted well but it's still an adjustment for a young player... And, he has as many points as Crosby this season!

No that's not bad at all. Just wish he could bury the puck on a few more of his opportunities. Would be good for his confidence.

4 points in 6 games is still pretty good.

Now let's talk about Armia who's an NHL vet and gets 1st PP time every game.

He needs to be replaced by Koko Mole to give the kid more opportunity to shine out there and bury his first one of his career! The Bell Centre will erupt when he does. Hopefully he gets it at home.

Koko Mole has a wicked wrister let him use it from the half boards like Kovy and Galchenyuk.

Armia is a decent NHLer at 5 on 5, responsible but he will never be a powerplay guy.

Seems like Cloooode's kind of player tho. I'm sure at some point with the special teams poopting the bed like this, he'll be forced to change.

This is where a guy like Plekanec can still be useful...

Not far off at all actually... A support player that won't hurt you defensively and will chip in a goal every 5 games or so! Good 3rd line winger.

For sure.

I'm confident Cloooooode can play him for months whitout any results on the powerplay. He has changed but the old school coach is still in there somewhere.

he probably had a small orgasm when he got to write Alzner's name into the lineup

He's the only one that's decent, Danault is usually better than he has been. Kotka and Domi are getting eaten but that was to be expected. Domi is playing center for the first time since midget and Kotkaniemi is a rookie.

Yes with the amount of turnovers they are creating it's not that important.

You still need that go to guy on the PK and key defensive zone faceoffs.

I expect Benn, Alzner, Ouellet to start rotating when Mete comes back from "injury"

Wouldn't take it for granted that Mete won't be in that rotation as well.

Just play whoever does better.... so far everyone has been playing well so it's hard to take a guy out.

yes agree, certain faceoffs are crucial. but the majority are inconsequential really. so a team's FO% is completely irrelevant. you can be a lousy faceoff team in general but if you have one super reliable guy to take most of your key draws, who cares

Well if the habs are winning games despite being dead last in faceoff wins, I guess you may have a point... But it's probably going to become more of an issue as the season progresses, and teams adjust to one another

I guess winning faceoffs really is an "art"... Looks easy enough, but maintaining a 50% ratio is not that obvious
