Shin Pads or Net or Wall...... - glennjpawlak22
It is actually negatively amazing that his shot always seems to miss the net in the event it grts through at all. |

Thank you, very jealous! Don't get much better than watching Major Junior... Boqvist has always shown a super quick release and a kinda heavy shot. Few question his offensive upside, just a matter of how high, and skating while questioning his defensive play, conversely just how bad it will be.
Again very glad he landed in London, great fit. I'm all for being patient with the kid as he matures, especially physically. A yr in London and a yr, maybe 2, in Rockford would be just fine.
Remember if he was paired with Regula? - Mr Ricochet
Boqvist has only played a few games in London. London as a team is just putting the parts together. Apparently Boqvist has made some great plays and passes. Also getting lots of shots. Goals and Points will come for Boqvist and the team over time. Boqvist still getting comfortable.
A year in London and a year or two in Rockford? - not happening. Boqvist is a Hawk next year out of camp. |

He was paired with Riley Coome which is good. He protects Boqvist very well. I remember one play where Boqvist was checked across the back when he was down and Coome lost it.
Tomorrow night I will see Entwhistle and I am really looking forward to it. |

I know it was pre-season and just one game but the way Athanasiou used his speed to be disruptive and create scoring chances for Vanek and other Wings players (Athanasiou had 4 points that game) is a good example of what Fortin could be if he can parlay his speed into offensive chances. I know the fear is players like him and Hinostroza or even Louis being super fast but really not able to do anything productive with it. - AEL_Fox
Nothing from his career in the Q (undrafted) or his year at Rockford (4 goals in 53 games and benched in the play-offs) indicates Fortin is ultimately going to be a great star with finish around the net. Having said this I think he has some good attributes - just don’t know why they didn’t show at all in Rockford where Colliton benched him. What I am hoping is that he is one of those unique players who take their games to a new level as the competition gets higher. However, if he sticks but falls into a bottom 6 role that would still be a huge win for the Hawks and for him.

Just an observation but with the long jam a defense when forsling and murphy come back plus 3 goalie conundrum i would think a possible trade could happen sometime in the next few weeks. So could be some potential trade options and what area needs the most help bottom 6 or top 4 d. Remember no gm is going give a top 4 d man away without getting someting of significance in return. |

Is that right 3 Goals in 4 games for the Yotes? Ouch - BetweenTheDots
What, are they keeping them in their back pockets for us? Those jerks... |

I really hope Corey has a better debut than that. - BetweenTheDots
Is he confirmed to start? He's in the net? |

It is actually only 2 goals. They got the 3rd goal as the "shootout" winner. - breadbag
From dry heat to goal droughts. When will it end? Or start, I guess? You know what they need, Saad. Cap off that goal drought with the king.
Knowing our luck, if we trade him, it will be his career best in goals and set nhl records ... |

Thanks, Mr Fox. Oh, I've been reading. For me Justin is a must read as are many posters. Just not much for me to offer after free agency and the draft as I made my thoughts known.
Speaking of, Pronman at The Athletic did a thing on 1 prospect from each team after seeing them this yr. Here he is on Boqvuist. As a Hawks fan I don't think there is a better spot than playing for Hunter in London to develop the kid. Big minutes in what will be big games this yr.
CHICAGO: Adam Boqvist, D, London-OHL
I watched one of Boqvist’s games with London and thought he was good. Not amazing, but good, and the coaching staff is leaning on him in a significant manner. I saw him deployed on both power play units for London in a stretch. His skill and particularly hockey sense shine. However, he hasn’t been perfect and his defensive play still needs sharpening. - Mr Ricochet
Thanks for the little pice on Boq. |

When we had him playing in preseason, didn't he miss the opening of the season for London?
I agree, he will be in a Hawk sweater next year. |

Arizona got a goal tonight, so they are trending up in offense. |

Again shows how aware Hunter is in developing players. The OHL is a tough league with some nasty characters, as you well know, who will take it to a Boqvist type. Good to see Hunter has a big vet paired with him who understands his role. https://www.eliteprospect...player/421447/riley-coome
Enjoy the game tomorrow!

I love the movie, but this isn't the shed you asked for, you're just going to have to settle because it is along the same lines, and I couldn't find it, haha. |
