Ok.............. - Mr Ricochet
OK...what? Of course Boqvist will make it out of camp next year. He was quarterbacking the first PP this pre-season and stayed long.
You didn’t believe Jokiharju would be here early either or DeBrincat...so there’s that. |

I love the movie, but this isn't the shed you asked for, you're just going to have to settle because it is along the same lines, and I couldn't find it, haha. - I Am The Breadman

Is that right? Oilers have 5 total goals this year and McDavid has 5 points, 3G 2A, weird season so far
Oops 2G 3A - BetweenTheDots
Up to 8 goals and McDavid has a part in all 8. When will he ask for a new coach |

this ass only gets 2 games: he takes his stick rams it up into the guys crutch from behind, boards him, the slew foot and then throws down with the head slamming into the ice..no chance for the nuck player to protect himself
I thought DPS was finally getting its act together on discipline. NOPE...and the (frank)n ref looking right at it...no whistle...
what the hell is it with some players and this league...that is as blatent with intent to injure non hockey play...its right up there with anything wilson does. |

Thanks for sharing, I did want to look more into this when it first happened. I'm actually mad now that I know, and mad because I knew what the result was going to be. 2 games ... what a bunch of cat piss! |

Ugh, sorry if bogiedoc's message shows as 'flagged', but meant to hit quotes... fat finger-itis..
Anyways, this poo poo reminds me of a movie I just saw, Ice Guardians. If you haven't seen it yet, and you have a thought about how cheap shots in the game are getting out of hand, you should watch it.
It touches mainly on the extinction of the enforcer, how they were perceived by old time players, how no fighting leagues in europe are vicious, current equipment and the misconception of concussions.
Hockey is a contact sport (unless your schmaltz) and things happen, but if you do crap like Matheson did or anything Wilson does someone should be able to pulverize you without the threat of another 2 minutes. Stats will say one thing but those who played/play the game will say otherwise, ie Towes and Kane. |

McDavid set the NHL record tonight with scoring or assisting on the Oilers first 9 goals of the season.
Besides the Coyotes anemic offense so far this season, the Golden Knights aren't faring so well so far after 6 games. Karlsson with 0 goals (4 assists) and Pacioretty and Haula each with only one goal (0 assists). That on top of Stastny on the DL for several months. |

The Golden Knights last season captured lightning in a bottle. They had extremely high quality coaching and caught many be surprise. Knew it would be hard if not impossible to duplicate.

When we had him playing in preseason, didn't he miss the opening of the season for London?
I agree, he will be in a Hawk sweater next year. - I Am The Breadman
He was with Hawks for an extended time and consequently got to London after season had started. Still acclimating.

It is actually only 2 goals. They got the 3rd goal as the "shootout" winner. - breadbag
The brilliance of the NHL, a goal that accounts for 2 points doesn't even count in official stats. Who can even think this makes any sense? |

Hate to break the news, but the "success" of the franchise was part of the deal. Can't you see it now? |

And you can't headbutt pucks into the net. What a sad sad day to be alive, haha.
No, you have a genuine complaint. It's flat out stupid, but then again the nhl is far from perfect. Very far away from perfrct. |

All i know is anytime i watched then play last season, not one player took a shift off, ever. Reminded me of the 2013 Blackhawks by far their best effort, discipline season. Saw them earlier this season didn't see the same hard working team of last year.

The new NHL Franchise. The way they were allowed to build that team.....the SC final.

Please continue. I don't fully understand where you're going with this. Are you suggesting the NHL conspired to make Vegas a strong team? |

We will see how much Oesterle plays - or is demoted - all in theory though - assuming Chychrun returns. Connaughton is your muscle guy eiths big shot mix/match with many offensive better style dmen whom should be employed ahead of Oesterle |

What I am saying is they got to play by different rules.. They were not like any other expansion team that came into the league, and have to pick the teams worst players. They were set up right from the start to be a successful team. And with Bettman's continued failure of the Arizona franchise, he needed a success under his watch. Tell me, you cannot see this?
Think about this, if any new ownership group wants to start an NHL franchise, don't you think they are going to demand the same "Deal"? |

He should acclimate to the AHL next season and he should concentrate on adding strength next two summers. This is an elite level player whom needs maybe only one season AHl insofar as better NHL preparation goes. Colliton would be a good coach. It is also interesting if the kid looks around the room at many other young prospects. How have they faredf, what did they work on? Dahlstrom before Boqvist would be prudent; we have many young kids on defense in next yep and three years to correctly break into the line up |
