Today @ 8:59 AM ET
Only 2 teams in the NHL are undefeated in regulation.
Actually the Blackhawks are the only team that has neither won or lost in regulation yet. |

That movie cracks me up, the first 15 minutes put me into tears. A movie like that can't be made today. Hard to believe Young Frankenstein was made the same year as that movie. - I Am The Breadman
Wow, didn't realize that. Loved High Anxiety too. Mel Brooks is great. Loved his guest stint on Curb Your Enthusiasm too.
Agree with your earlier point about playing down to the level of competition. That and backup goalies have been issues for them in recent history.

Special teams, and especially the PK, need to improve if this team is going to contend for a post season spot.
Is Frolik available?
Remember when the PK was so good that, at times, they almost seemed as likely to score as be scored upon?

We dont really mention it, but how bout the loss of Marian Hossa in that locker room. The guy was a consummate pro and led a lot of player in the right direction by work ethic being on display. Toews especially. No one played more with Hoss than he did, and he has yet to find the fit since. |

Yeah, I brought that up a couple of times last year. Impossible to know for sure, but it seems like more than a coincidence to me. |

Ben Smith was great on the pk also, he played well with Kruger.
The video though ... good times. |

Not just the locker room, but the ice. Smartest player I've seen. I would love to see coach Hossa behind the bench soon. |

Curb was good. I saw Brooks in person. Hilarious!
Losing Raanta and Darling was troubling, but that backup might be filled with who we have developing and have drafted. I wonder if Crow will stay in 2 years, or if the plan is go with our guys and move beyond him? |

Correction needed! We haven't played 10 games... I think you meant 8 points out of possible 10 points - ktsparks

Any rumblings about possibly bringing in another top 6 forward and who that might be? - SoftServe
Nope. Haven't heard anything.
I think the team is happy where they are at but I'm sure are looking ahead to a Crawford return and how they manage the crowded blueline when Murphy and Forsling return.
There might be a minor trade then. |

Rockford got off to a "Rocky" start, will Bowman try to help them out, or leave it be? He lost a lot of vets down there. |

Why the red font? Frolik would be a solid pick-up, especially if Stan could get Calgary to retain some salary (which would cost extra). |

Mainly because Of his cap hit. But yeah, if they retain salary...go for it. |

2 years, m-ntc, 4.3 aav. I don't see it being a problem for him to come back or wanting to come back. He won a cup so this place could be home to him, even with some core still being here. Who would it take to get Calgary to bite, especially for them to retain?
This would be one trade for a former hawk project I wouldn't object to. |

Isn't Nylander available in Toronto? Ship Anisimov and Rutta or Gustafsson and a 3rd rounder for a top six forward? Toronto gets D "help" and we get a great young top 6 player. |

I want Nylander too, but a couple things 1) offers from other teams for him are probably better than that, especially if he signs, 2) you're creating more holes for us, our center, bottom 6, and d are poor enough, and 3) we shouldn't hand out 6-8 mill for him. |

Idk, trading AA depletes center depth and I’m not completely sold on Schmaltz at 2C. |

They are actually 2-2. They looked good this past weekend. |

As Justin pointed out, Hogs are now 2-2 after beating Texas 5-3 and Hershey 5-2.
It's a matter of time when Dylan Sikura gets recalled. He's playing with a lot of poise, pace, and speed showing great patience when he's looking at his passing options. He can snipe, too, with a laser shot from the circles.
Highmore should get recalled at some point as well. Best overall player.
I like how Knott and Tyler Sikura play. At some point they deserve cups of coffee for the 4th line. Knott isn't flashy but makes simple, smart plays, shows physicality, and is solid on defense.
Tyler isn't huge but he plays like a power forward. Crashes the net and scores goals from the paint. He's what Hayden needs to be but Tyler just does it consistently.
Besides Dahlstrom, no one on D stands out yet. They each have their moments, good and bad. Noticeable sometimes, not noticeable other times. Nobody is constantly putrid though. |

How soon until another recall, do you think? |

Thank you. I always appreciate your breakdowns, score recaps, and synopses. At least Hillman and Gilbert are getting playtime, good or bad. I expect big things from that pair. Would love for our bottom 6 to get boosted. |

Saad for Nylander? - Ogilthorpe2
I really hate the idea of giving up on Saad, regardless of downstreak. His trade value is low, I don't see it happening, anyways. |

I do too.
He would’ve (likely) scored on a nice rebound chance in the first period of last game had he not been tackled.
It was good to see him going hard to the net. Too bad he wasn’t rewarded. |
