What is this?
Ma’am, I think your slip is showing. - Der Kaiser

I have a conspiracy theory, though I was a little reticent to share it, but here it goes. I think it may have been a pre-existing condition, and Botterill knew about it from his time in Pitt. Hunwick mentioned when he was traded that he felt he wasn't given an opportunity to play enough in Pitt, and he may have realized he was in the same situation here. If he feels this is his last contract anyway, it serves most interests involved that he not play. The Sabres don't have to waive Nelson, and he still gets paid |

i dont think it's far fetched at all. The deal itself screamed favour trade. The pens wanted cap space to sign johnson (lol) and we needed some scoring talent in the worst way. Hunwicks hit is inconsequential to us but was pivotal to them signing JJ. So its possible, maybe even probable, that botts knew and used that to help bring in sheary at cost. |

which results?
buffalo being above .500 again?
Scandella scoring a goal on October 8, nearly two full months before a sabres d-man scored a goal last season?
their combined -3 with Ristolainen averaging a seventh-most 25:44 of ice time?
what are you trying to say, exactly? - Michael Pachla
He scored, but only because his shot went off a stick and knuckled in. He has not been good. |

Shots against, chances against.
Here’s an interesting tidbit. McCabe has taken the most D zone draws on the team. Ristolainen is third. - sbroads24
Early season wackiness, McCabe is a 39.3 CF%, 66.1% D-Zone starts, but has a PDO of 101.
He hasn't looked good, at all, but it could just be because he always in the D-Zone, so there are that many more opportunities to look bad. Kind of like you've never seen Bure get victimized on defense, because he never played defense. |

The fact that Peterman was not cut today tells me everything i need to know about McDummy... and he thinks we are all idiots.

Funny part is I thought he was pretty mild. McDermott was the one that basically ended the interview without saying anything. |

I usually detest Schopp, but all of the questions they asked were fair. If mcd disagreed, he should have said so. Instead he took his ball and went home |

Same here. That said I noticed he wasn't on the next segment but didn't know about the one after that. I am not sure what there was to get upset about on either side. McDermott called him a "numbers guy" at some point but other that that... |

You know I get it, but the act has gotten old. Peterman doesn’t belong on an NFL roster.

No he doesn't but when your starter is injured and the other guy hasn't played football in a year I am not sure what you can do. He definitely painted himself into a corner. |
