As for Roussel, I get that he just came off a concussion and that he probably doesn’t have his game legs under him yet. But if you’re not healthy enough to do what you were signed to do then why are you playing?

I don’t mean to single out the new guys, other then it was the justification for their signing. I’m just as disappointed in the rest of the team.

I have come to the conclusion Gudbrandson does need to be replaced.

I will give Schaller more than the 3 games he has played to see if he is a fit or not.

Seriously if I was playing and seen what happened I am not sure I would have done anything. I still didn't see a dirty play. I see players getting wrestled down all the time.

If he’d taken just one more penalty, somewhere after the 8minute mark in the third period, I’d say the same.

No one's poopting themselves over the fact the hit happened. They're pissed that the team got bullied again, despite this area being "addressed", and the response was to run to let the hall monitor tell the principal.

They have a press box of video coaches up top, multiple tablets on the bench with up to the minute video of the game.

They either chose to be ignorant or chose to be female doges. Whether the hit is dirty or not. The fact is that a player kicked your team in the nuts and your response was to write an angry letter to the newspaper instead. You didn't even flip the guy off or take a swing of your own.

the only difference to me, is the magnitude of the person who was affected (Pettersson/Rookie vs if it were Granlund/Sutter/etc). The Canucks should have been THAT much more pissed off it being a Pettersson IMO. But pissed off the same if it were any other roster player outside of the rookies as well.

The team confiscates negative signs at entry. Some fans tried this last year and even at the home opener someone had a joke sign that security took away.

The players know it, they’re on social media. That’s why the excuses by Benning, Green and the players are out in full force since Saturday.

protect your star players! clean or not. if you see your star player on the ice, go after the closest guy to him! that might be a slight exaggeration but only slight.

it's not the hit. if guddy did that to someone, i wouldn't think it was blatantly outside the lines.

...but i'd expect him to be challenged. i would also tell the other canuck players to keep their heads up as potential for payback could be high.

sadly, other teams don't really need to concern themselves with that.

A boy got hit by a man and got hurt. Get over it. I have mixed feelings over it but it was a hockey play, excessive and a little dirty. The league dealt with it. Move on. If they wanna show grit and regain some respect have someone Marchands size fight Marchand and take out your anger on him and not wait for somebbullpoop Bertuzzi type retribution. I honestly believe none of the players on the ice even realized what happened until they saw it after the game. I didn’t see much until after the hit/finishing move was replayed along with the chirping before it.
