6-2 Canucks - VANTEL
Seeing as Matt Murray is the likely starter, I endorse this message. I hope Boeser scores all 6 so we can hear about how he got lucky, again |

That's an easy thing to say on a radio podcast, and quite a different thing to do, in real life. I bet you Jason Botchford has never been in an actual fight his entire life. Further, I bet if here's were put in a position where he had a choice of engaging in a fist fight or not, he would walk away. |

If I were Boeser I would have FedExed the hat trick puck to Murray so it arrives at the areana just before game time with a note that reads "Dear Murrsey, plenty more where this came from. I'm going high glove, just try and stop me" |

I would like to hear a hockey player call him out. "Tell me about the last fist fight you were in Jason, who did you fight and how did you feel afterwards". |

Players are too worried about giving the other team "ammo". Be on the offensive, be cockier then them, call your shot and then deliver. |

and if it was a canuck that asked, he would sarcastically respond, "my last fight was probably more recent than yours."
and then what does the player do? |

was just a joke...
Altho when you are on the ice and your teammate gets steamrolled it doesn't matter if you are a fighter or not. You stand up for your teammate. Even if you know you're gonna get tuned. That's why Hamonic got so much praise in this market.
Respect.
I gotta think this is the last time something like this happens without incident. There is no way this team turns the other cheek anymore. not after all this....
But, I'll believe it when I see it. |

Haha, should be fun tonight. be awesome to see BB light him up. Altho his hatty goal went off a Pens Dmans butt/back and in. But of the 5 goals in 2 games that was the only "lucky" one. |

That would be Botch making a joke, I (as the hockey player) would fire back, because I don't think he has ever been in a real fight. |

It has been going on for 10 years. The only player drafted in the last two drafts that is physical is Jet Woo . I don't see the landscape changing anytime soon. |

What I'm saying is that it is easy for joe fan, or joe media to say "hell yeah, if that were me out there I would have settled the score" or stuck up for my guy or whatever. It is quite a different thing to do that. I bet that of all the people on here on a handful of you have actually ever been face to face throwing hay makers fight. As this is a hockey site, the number is probably slightly higher than normal, but I guarantee that the number is lower than 100% of you cum guzzlers (thanks Chompsey, needed to borrow that to add levity)
Also, Stormsey, not calling you out, calling Botch out, unless you are Botch... |

oh come on. is being in a fight really that rare? no, it isn't. most guys have been in several in their lives. hopefully that decreases as you get older but still...
being in a fight, doesn't mean you think you'll win.
but having been in a fight, you also know that you're not going to die. seriously, getting punched in the face while you punch face is not the end of the freaking world... especially during a hockey game.
really, is the concept of fighting such a foreign concept to everyone here?
(and no, i don't get into fistfights regularly but growing up, it wasn't a big deal.) |

I think most on here have been in that situation and responded but there is a big difference between midget or beer league than a 6'5 Ryan Getzlaf on the other side.
