I will be honest when I seen the play at full speed I didn't think much of it. It was not until it was slowed down and went over and over that I thought okay that is excessive. I think most players on team were asking what happened?

I agree, at normal speed the hit didn't look that bad. The puck had also gone up ice and all the players were going after it.

The head coach himself said the play is dirty and the league is reviewing it so I guess hockey people think it was questionable. It’s not about making sure Pettersson ever gets touched again, it’s about a team showing they have each other’s backs.

just because it's clean doesn't mean it should be "allowed".

i'm not trying to firetruck my hockey experience here, but my favourite team I played on had a "(frank) you" attitude 24/7. Clean hit, nothing slash, accidental nudge after the whistle? Didn't matter. Push back. Hit back harder, stick the guy back harder, glove the guy in a scrum.

I'm not a big dude, but I remember being on that team and knowing that if I got myself into some poop I had 4 other guys on the ice who had my back.

maybe the team should ban dinners and only play fortnite until they act like a real team.
