Apparently Trump believes the missing Saudi reporter was killed by some 400 lb guy sitting on his bed. |

Horvat had Matheson perfectly lined up on the forecheck like 3 or 4 minutes after the hit and he didn’t lay a finger on Matheson.
Not like Matheson is Chris Pronger - Nucker101
I saw that. Don't have to charge the guy, board him, elbow him. Just finish your (frank)ing check.
If you didn't know about the EP thing the way the rest of the game played out was like a preseason game where all anyones concerned about is not getting hurt. |

True. I like Bo and no we don't expect him to be like Iggy and want to fight everyone that hits star players but man if Horvat wants to lead...then lead. |

Set the tone. He doesn't have to run Matherson into last year. But FFS, touch him.
And its not like the refs are going to do anything. Anytime they (frank) up like that you're given one or two freebies, at worst they even it up with imaginary coincidentals.
If FAQ was as much a "fan" of this team as he claims, he should hold a (frank)ing summit in Pittsburgh asking why he's paying 70+ mil in salary to a bunch of guys who want to play beer league rules. |

Just think of the tank if Horvat and EP and Beagle were out. Would have to recall Gaunce too.
The possibilities. |

lol that's the danger I guess of having Bo go after opposing players we don't want him hurt but at the same time we want him to lead.
Couldn't even imagine if Gaunce was back.
Truly it's bottom 3 basement bin for sure. |

Exactly. I’m not expecting him to fight but he’s a big that’s more than capable of throwing a hit on a guy who is right in front of him |

Going after a guy doesn't have to be WWE. He doesn't need to carry a sledgehammer or hit him with a bus. He just has to go up to him with a little bit of (frank) You. |

The fact that the team's big response to this poop was having Green memorize a PR statement that was a coded "stop being mad at us" tells you everything you need to know about this piss-poop franchise. - Lindenis#1
Yup.
Just when we thought we would be getting a culture change we need another culture change. I hope Gaudette told them he felt safer staying with Utica. |

people in here gave me poop because I had said last year, when Boeser attempted to hit Clutterbuck, that the physicality and fighting never really needed to come from star players (mentioned Crosby/Bergeron/Gaudreau/Kucherov/Stamkos etc) and that every team had guys signed who knew their role and could do it instead. I remember a couple guys said that it was a lead by example league, where star players need to hit, star players need to block shocks, star players need to fight if the situation occurs, and I completely see their point and conceded (to a degree) that the entire team should do things that people strictly expected from bottom 6 players). Horvat holds his own against Darnell Nurse (a relatively tough guy compared to the league average IMO) and yet we don't expect a fight from him? Stecher goes up again Strome, who isn't a fighter, but outweighs him and has a few inch height advantage, and we don't get mad at him either (I believe Stecher was on the ice when it happened). |

If they’re gonna be pu$$ies then I really am confused about the Gudbranson trade and the UFA signings this summer.
Might as well just go full speed/skill |

it's not. People assume you have to have grit and toughness to facewash a guy, or get in a guys face, or threaten him. You don't need grit and toughness, you need a backbone and a spine. |

Fighting doesn't need to come from your stars or appointed leaders, but they can't act like wilting flowers either. The reason they're leaders is you want the team to follow them and what they do. Well, if your leaders piss their pants when they're confronted with the possibility of a booboo, its tough to expect anyone else to have a stick up their ass too.
Crosby's taken a cheap shot at players. Same with Kucherov and Stamkos. They don't do it often, but they give it back at times. I've seen Gaudreau hack dudes like he wanted to remove a limb. Bergeron is willing to handle himself.
Team's used to pick on Taylor Hall in Edmonton until he drove a through guys through the boards from behind and then tried to remove Clutterbuck's leg from his body. |

that was my main point last year, is that I would never expect Boeser, or Pettersson, or Bo to drop the gloves. I don't expect them to moving forward, just like I don't expect any of the other players I listed to do the same. However, that's half my point. Apart from Gaudreau, who had his hand broken by the whole Minnesota team, and not a single flame did a thing about it, it doesn't take a goon to get fired up and get in the face of an opponent that does something to your team mate. I remember when Erik Johnson took out Kyle Palmeiri's knee one game, the first guy in to rough him up was Nico Hischier of all people. |
