This wouldn't be the worst time to have Torts as a coach. Young team with an overabundance of "grit" veterans. He didn't work when the team was still trying to hang onto the 2011 magic, but I bet he'd be ankle deep in a few asses this year.

That's fine, and if it was an every game occurrence then sure. But this was his first chance this season to do what he said he would do. And instead he just iced the puck.

I went from not really liking Ryan Miller to really respecting the guy for the Stecher/Martin incident.


Hansen just cemented himself further as a guy everyone likes in that game.

Virtanen is full of sh1t. He is not a team leader or a feared player. There were 17 other players that stepped on the ice that night or any night and they never have their backs. Bo as a leader is a great leader of a 27 th place team . He has two hits in 5 games and really is a third line center (Sorry Don)
