Yeah but not even Carey Price deserves a Carey Price contract so he's going to have to temper his expectations a bit. - TheMussel
I've always wondered if Price would have gotten a similar contract if he had become a UFA.
Most likely not since he had horrible season last year but if had just played to his regular standards.....
Some people seem to think no one would have given him 10M... I honestly have no idea. |

I think someone would have given him something close at 7 years. Goalie is the most important position.
He's proven that he's not Raycroft.
Also I was just being dumb, Carey could probably stand to be paid a little less, but not much less.
Also what's the deal with all the Belle Pros closing down all over the city? I have a huge craving for like 8 steamies but there's nowhere convenient to get it. |

How about THIS
David Savard, Josh Anderson, 1st, Sergei Bobrovsky on a sign and trade for
Willie, Andersen, some low round pick - TheMussel
Meh too much of a change.
The leafs need to keep this core together. |

CBJ offers David Savard, Josh Anderson and a 1st for Willie. What do you say? - Santo_44
The value might match but I don't like the idea of selling Willie for a bunch of smaller pieces. Hold on and get the best young dman you can ...if he doesn't re-sign.
Drouin fetched Sergachev ....something like that. |

I guess I may be in the minority
But Josh Anderson is good...a lot better than Connor Brown. - Santo_44
Yeah I'd definitely take Josh Anderson over Connor Brown in a heart beat.
He's a big power forward, plays with a lot of grit and has skill.
He would be exactly what Leafs need come playoff time. |

I am pretty sure Dubas knows what he has in Nylander.
Also, I thought the coach played the players on lines not the GM - senstroll
I think there's some back and forth there for sure. And keeping Kap on the top line is just spreading the firepower around, which is probably a good thing. I think we look way more dangerous with Nylander on the 3rd line than we do on the 1st line. |
