As cliche as it sounds, it's the best way to send a message. Last year a german soccer team's fans were upset about monday night games, so 30,000 of them chose not to show up to one. I notice this year, they have no Monday games scheduled. Nothing gets a board/owner to act on something like embarrassing the poop out of them.

I think I might stick with my 3-4-3 opening 10 games, though that would mean a 4 game losing streak. So maybe not. But just under fake .500 seems about right for the opening bit of the season for as much change as they've had.

These players need a coach that lights a fire under their asses, hold them accountable and bag-skates them when their effort sucks. They're complacent losing, half-ass everything and none of them play with a sense of urgency or passion.

Both. Hopefully Mittelstadt becomes a guy who stirs the drink. Sheary, Reinhart and Skinner are fine players, but they need others to create. And yes I understand Skinner takes a ton of shots, but I feel like he needs others to get him the puck. If they had even just two lines things would be much better.

I actually think it's the opposite. They need to relax and play. Story of the season was Okposo firing a pass to Eichel that blew through/over his blade and out of the zone on a PP when it didn't need to be half as hard. Okposo put way too much on it and Jack didn't cradle it. Everyone's on edge. Dahlin got caught thinking on the goal, his position wasn't terrible, and he could've recovered and done the stick lift we've already seen him do numerous times this season, like at least twice last game on his goal, and to keep the puck in, but he was half a second late reacting and that's all it takes.

They need a real color commentator with Ray as the 3rd guy. Ray tries, he's just not polished like Lorenz or Neale were. Some of that is likely due to them not standing next to each other in the booth though.
