If he can be a reasonable player at 5v5. In the pre-season, he was an undersized guy with average speed who couldn't create space to get his shot off. Obviously, he's a weapon on the PP. That alone is enough to make me want to see him at some point this season.

i wish, this team has too many guys who do the work that can be done by a league minimum-ish player.

That being said, it'd be nice to have more than skinner in the shooter department.

it's impressive production, but I'm sure I'm not alone questioning how it translates to the NHL

Matthews and McDavid are not comparable for Eichel. He is nowhere near their league. He is a highly skilled perimeter player. They are always at the net front, he almost never is. And as the captain, he IS the chemistry. Or should be.

oh i dont disagree but so far it seems to be coming together well. Most of the folks who watch the amerks have been pleased.

I think he's a future regular in the NHL, just not sure on the ceiling.
